We’re going to the mooon, a rap competition where Chicago artists prove who’s really the best through three rounds: a timed cypher, a 1v1 battle, and individual song performances.

The event is a WordTaffy Word Taffy x Beyond the Surface production Zhakyia Hester , hosted by Sista Afrika Dr. Afrika PR Global and judged by GLC Leonard GLC Harris, Taylor Bennett and foreverband_backup . Competitors will go head to head for a $200 grand prize, along with beat packs, studio sessions, and more. Sounds by DJ Sleepy all night.

The night also features gift bags, creative vendors, live performances by Zion Ali ZION ALI 💿 , and a stand up comedy set by ChickenWang LaTroy Brown .
