Interesting article I came across this morning...
Casio launches new Nordic-powered G-SHOCK watch with multiple sports support The GBD-H2000 employs Nordic’s nRF52833 SoC to relay multiple sensor data outputs to smartphone app
The European patent for rareBit's Customizable Referee Paging System reached a huge milestone today!
All signs point toward the patent being officially awarded in mid-2023!
All the rareBit Flag and Receiver Lite Sets backed on Kickstarter have been shipped! Thank you to everyone who supported this project!
The new design for the rareBit Receiver is verified!
The additional rumble motor provides a stronger vibratory alert that you can feel through your whole arm and is still easily noticable through an additional layer of clothing under the jersey.
Electronics for the new receiver are currently in production and will arrive mid-September. After they arrive, the rareBit team will SWIFTLY assemble and test all the units before shipping to all the Kickstarter backers! (Hopefully before the end of September if all goes well).
BONUS: Wouldn't it be cool if the Flag alerts could be received via smartwatch instead of wearing an arm band? The answer is YES, that would be cool! Which is why I made the rareBit Relay - details coming soon!
The Kickstarter is complete! We raised $12,200 😁⚽️
