Before the dedicated studio space I have now, there was this. 🎹

When I felt the pull to get back into music and start Saved By Fire back in 2020, I didn't have a professional setup—so I built one. These are photos of my very first vocal booth. It wasn’t fancy, but it was the place where I found my voice again after 10 years away from singing and writing.

Looking back at these is a constant reminder that you don't need the "perfect" setup to start; you just need the discipline to show up and do the work. The foundation for "Blood Moon," and everything Saved By Fire is today, was laid right here in this booth.

It’s been an incredible journey from these four walls to where we are now. I can’t wait to share what’s coming next! 🤘

Unpacking some boxes to get the studio more dialed in and I came across this piece of history. 💎

This was the start. Before I felt the calling for Saved By Fire, it had been about 10 years since I’d worked on any music at all. At the time, I was fully entrenched in the corporate world as a retail General Manager. Stepping away from that and back into the fire 🔥 for this first Saved By Fire album, I Am That I Am, changed everything.

Looking back now, there are plenty of things I would have done differently with this record if I were to do it today but that’s the beauty of growth. This album is truly the foundation of what Saved By Fire has become. I’m incredibly proud of these songs and the history they provided to get us to where we are with songs like "Blood Moon."

Many of you know that I pour my heart and soul into Saved By Fire. Almost every spare moment of my time goes toward this project, and bringing "Blood Moon" to life was incredibly challenging in more ways than one.

But the sheer level of receptiveness and support around this song has made every bit of that struggle worth it.

I often sit in my studio late at night wondering if anyone will actually hear the music I’m writing...or if it will even matter. After all the conversations, comments, and messages this weekend, it’s clear that people are not only listening, but truly connecting with it. As a musician and an artist, that is one of the most humbling things to experience.

Music has been my anchor since I was a kid. It’s how I process reality. I have so many dreams and aspirations for what Saved By Fire can become, but for now, we’re taking it one day at a time. I don’t know where this path ends, but I know that "Blood Moon" is just the beginning.

We need as many outlets as possible to anchor us to the truth and build a sense of community and unity. I’m just grateful this project can be a small part of that.
