Welcome, Timothy McDermott, Senior Project Manager.

Timothy has delivered projects across Chicago’s sports and entertainment, multifamily residential, and institutional sectors. His work includes MEP coordination, building systems integration, and renovations in occupied environments.

Outside of work, Timothy enjoys his time with his wife and three kids. When he gets the chance, he likes to get out on the golf course or catch a Blackhawks game.

It’s back-to-school season, and with our summer interns’ final presentation last week, that’s a wrap.

This summer, they explored how AI could ease some of the more time-consuming tasks around the office, all while finding extra ways to contribute and often going beyond what was asked of them.

Thank you for spending the summer with us. It was a pleasure to work and learn alongside you, and we’re excited to see where you go from here. Good luck this semester!

Welcome, Rachel Conover, Project Engineer.

Rachel brings an architectural background to the team and a passion for seeing projects come to life.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys painting and traveling.

It was great to celebrate alongside the people who helped shape the 1529 N Fremont project at its grand opening. We were able to take a step back and appreciate what the team accomplished.

Matt Luby, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Construction Management
Matt enjoys the problem-solving and teamwork that come with construction and is eager to gain hands-on project experience this summer. Outside of work, he enjoys lifting and catching a movie.

Reid Gentry, University of Tennessee Knoxville, Architecture
Reid is passionate about seeing design come to life in the field and understanding how collaboration drives successful projects. Outside of work, he’s a musician who performs around Chicago.

Olena Romantsova, Illinois Institute of Technology, Architectural Engineering
Olena enjoys working in the field, developing her leadership skills, and gaining firsthand project experience. She’s also passionate about encouraging more women to pursue careers in construction.

Matthew Vertucio, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Construction Management
Matthew enjoys seeing projects progress from start to finish and is looking forward to building his field experience. Outside of work, he’s into cars, golf, and driving a manual.

Strong projects are built on collaboration long before groundbreaking.

These meetings are about more than logistics. They are an opportunity to align teams early, establish communication, and identify what success looks like before work begins in the field.
