This week, our $100 is heading to Erie Neighborhood House, an awesome Chicago organization providing immigrant and low-income families with the resources and support they need to thrive.

Education, legal services, workforce development, family support—they’re out there doing the kind of work that makes Chicago stronger, one family at a time. 💪❤️

We move couches. They move communities forward.

Seems only fair that we slide them a Benjamin.

Another Thursday. Another $100. Another great Chicago organization doing some serious GOOD.

🍂🎃 FALL IS HERE, BABY!

Yesterday marked the first day of fall, and here at Move-tastic! we are officially GEEKED UP.

Why? Because we can finally unleash our highly scientific, exhaustively researched, definitely-not-just-an-excuse-to-eat-donuts TOP 10 FALL ACTIVITIES!

🍎 Go apple picking — Spend $47 to pick your own apples and somehow feel good about doing the labor yourself.
🎃 Hit a pumpkin patch — Find the weirdest pumpkin possible. Give him a name. He lives with you now.
🍂 Take a foliage hike — Enjoy nature while pretending you’re not checking your phone every six minutes.
🔥 Have a bonfire — S’mores, b**rs, flannels, and smelling like a chimney until Wednesday.
👻 Visit a haunted house — Pay $40 to have a teenager with a chainsaw scare the absolute s**t out of you.
🌽 Get lost in a corn maze — Nothing says fall like arguing with your family about which way is north.
🏈 Go to a football game or tailgate — Sports are happening somewhere. You’re mostly there for chili.
🍺 Hit an Oktoberfest — Giant pretzels, enormous b**rs, and dancing that gets progressively worse as the night goes on.
🥧 Bake something aggressively fall — Pumpkin bread. Apple pie. Cinnamon EVERYTHING. Your house should smell like a candle.
🚗 Take a fall road trip — Find some changing leaves, a cute small town, and a roadside stand selling something in a mason jar.

And remember: this is Chicago fall, so dress appropriately—which means shorts, a hoodie, flip-flops, a winter coat, sunscreen, and an umbrella.

Today we’re sitting down with Juan, one of our amazing movers and, as we quickly discovered, a man who knows EXACTLY how to have a good time.

“Tequila.”

Three lyrics. One word. Maximum confidence. Honestly, it may be the perfect karaoke song.

🐥 One Chicago attraction for the day?

The Chicago Ducky Derby.

Thousands of rubber ducks floating down the river? Juan knows quality entertainment when he sees it.

🎺 Something you’re weirdly good at?

Singing Mariachi.

Okay Juan, NOW we’re going to need a demonstration at the next All Team Meeting.

🍺 Go-to drink after a long day of moving?

Modelo with lime and salt.

Cold b**r. Properly seasoned.

So basically Juan’s perfect day involves racing rubber ducks, singing mariachi, yelling “TEQUILA!” into a microphone, and finishing with an ice-cold Modelo.
Frankly, that sounds like a damn good Tuesday. 🍺🎺🐥

This weekend they had a blast dragging the kids to—and running—the 4th Annual Run for the Parks 5K, supporting the Chicago Parks Foundation, the behind-the-scenes heroes helping keep Chicago’s parks awesome. ❤️🌳
And folks... this isn’t your average 5K.

At some point we forgot we were at a race and thought we’d accidentally wandered into the world’s healthiest tailgate.

Seriously, do your future self a favor and mark this one down for next year. Come for the run. Stay for the pancakes, b**r, candy, music... and the satisfaction of supporting Chicago’s incredible parks.

The kids may have been dragged there, but a piñata full of candy heals many wounds. 🪅🍬

For 21 years, Riot Fest has been bringing the noise, and this year they’re cramming 100+ bands into three glorious days of music, mayhem, questionable fashion choices, delicious food, and some of the finest people-watching Chicago has to offer.

Think of it as punk rock Lollapalooza—only with more tattoos, louder guitars, and significantly better odds of seeing a 52-year-old man absolutely DESTROY a mosh pit. 🤘

Punk. Rock. Ska. Metal. Alternative. Weird stuff. Loud stuff. All the stuff.

So lace up your oldest Vans, stretch those moshing muscles, pop an Advil BEFORE you leave the house, and go make some questionable decisions.

Huge congrats to Alex, our newest Andre Lyons Award winner!

This award goes to the team member who steps up the most—helping other crews, taking on extra work, and generally saying “I got you” when everyone else suddenly becomes very interested in their shoelaces.

This month, nobody dug in more than Alex. When we needed help, he was there.

If every employee were an Alex, Move-tastic! would be unstoppable.

It would also be extremely creepy. Just 100 Alexes wandering around the warehouse...

🇺🇸🚚 It’s time to Move Good and Do Good!

Today’s donation goes to American Legion Tattler Post #973, an organization dedicated to serving our community, state, and nation through volunteer programs, social events, and charitable giving.

Basically, these folks served their country and then apparently decided:

“Welp... might as well keep helping people.” ❤️

From supporting neighbors to bringing people together and giving back wherever they can, Tattler Post #973 proves that service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off.

Huge thanks to everyone at the Post for continuing to show up for Chicago and for the people who call it home.

🎶🍺🇵🇷 It’s Tuesday Crewsday! This week we’re featuring Emmanuel, one of our new Crew Leaders in training! 💪🚚

🍽️ What food does everybody love that you think is overrated?

Spanish food. He loves it... but still thinks it’s overrated. A bold strategy, Emmanuel. We’ll let the entire Spanish-speaking world sort that one out with you.

No specific song needed. Just hit play and apparently Emmanuel is ready to move a sleeper sofa up four flights.
