Don’t go to WI without stopping here👇
📍Cedarburg, WI!
Here’s 10 fun things you can do in this quaint little Wisconsin town:
1️⃣Cedarburg is famous for having one of the last remaining covered bridges in the state. It’s a great spot for photos and the park is perfect for a picnic!
2️⃣Do you like strawberries? What about a festival dedicated SOLELY to strawberries? Cedarburg’s got it! This festival features lives music, hundreds of vendors, family-friendly activities, and all the strawberry themed treats you can think of! Come early - it gets busy FAST.
3️⃣Visit Cedarburg’s picturesque downtown! Historic buildings and quaint shops line the streets and make this city the “Stars Hollow” look-a-like that it is :)
4️⃣Cedarburg’s Cedar Creek Settlement, home to shops, yummy restaurants and artist galleries, is located in a restored grist mill that dates back to 1864! The Anvil is a must-visit restaurant.
5️⃣Sample some yummy wine at Cedar Creek Winery (especially their special - Strawberry Blush!) or grab a beer at Rebellion Brewing, located right along Cedar Creek with a water wheel that still turns and scenic creek views!
6️⃣At Christmas, Cedarburg hosts “Festive Friday Eve” every Friday in December, complete with meet and greets with Santa, trolley rides, and storefront specials. Plus, the town square does an annual tree lighting with Santa :)
7️⃣Interested in ghosts? Cedarburg is allegedly haunted - so there are plenty of ghost tours to satisfy your curiosity!
8️⃣You have not really had a caramel apple until you’ve had one from Amy’s Candy Kitchen! Grab one or two and have them slice them for you so they’re easy to eat and mess-free.
9️⃣Catch a movie at the Rivoli Theatre. It’s quaint, affordable, and you’ll love the cozy, restored building you get to hang out in.
🔟Did I mention shopping?! Grab a new wardrobe or some beautiful decor for your home and have yourself a DAY shopping local in this town.

Save this post for your next trip to the Eternal City👇
1️⃣ Don’t try to see all the sites at once. Don’t even try to do it over two days. Give yourself at least 3 days and give yourself some breathing room. If you Jam Pack everything into a day and a half, you won’t remember any of it.
2️⃣Explore at least one non-tourist trap area. My favorite is by far Trastevere. It’s a neighborhood just across the Tiber River from the main city center and it is awesome. Best restaurants, nightlife, entertainment - it’s just incredible!
3️⃣Keep your attire in mind. Rome has many religious attractions and these places will not let you in if your shoulders aren’t covered or your dress/skirt/shorts are too short. I always keep some type of shawl with me when traveling to prevent this from becoming a problem.
4️⃣Get yourself on Roman time - especially for meals. Romans eat meals later, with lunch landing anywhere from 12-3 and dinner from 8-10. Understanding this and planning your day around these times will slow you to maximize exploring and not waste time waiting for meal times!
