Three members of our EVS team flew to Orlando, Florida, to participate in the event at the Walt Disney World Resort, putting La Rabida in the national spotlight.

🥇They claimed first place overall after placing in the bed-making, toilet-paper toss, vacuum-cleaning, and mop-relay competitions.

This championship represents the spirit and dedication of our staff who keep our hospital a clean, safe, and welcoming place for our patients and families.

To infinity and beyond! Our patients enjoyed hanging out together during an exclusive premiere of the new Toy Story 5 movie.

Thanks to our child life and clinical teams, who helped mobilize our patients so they could have this unique experience!

And a special thanks to Disney; our partnership continues to bring fun and magical moments to our patients in the hospital.

Oh, what a National Night Out! La Rabida was proud to be a part of this neighborhood movement dedicated to safety and building stronger communities!

Thank you, 003rd District CPD, for hosting a fun event at South Side YMCA where we came together to build connections and share resources with the children and families who make our South Side community so special.

What an incredible way to celebrate South Side Chicago history at the 97th Bud Billiken Parade!

Our staff sailed our “ship” along the route, then kept the fun going at the family festival, all while celebrating our 130th anniversary of care for the children in our community. ⛵

The best part: we heard dozens of stories and spent time reconnecting with former and current patients who shared how La Rabida’s mission impacted their lives.

La Rabida Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) is hosting a school supply drive to support the hospital’s mission and raise the possibilities for a lifetime.

We spent the weekend at the Pullman Community Center shooting hoops and inspiring hope one basket at a time with former and current patients! 🏀🤝

Cooper Farrall started his journey with La Rabida Chicago Children’s Diabetes Center at 11 years old after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

On Saturday, he hosted a free basketball camp to give back to young patients and the program that made his dream of playing college basketball possible.

Eyumema USA Inc. visited La Rabida’s campus on Friday to bring food, supplies, and toys to our patients and families through its philanthropic activity.

The cultural and women’s empowerment organization, founded on embracing strength and resilience for Manyu women residing in the United States, learned about our Open Access Food Pantries and collected items to support our mission!

Thank you, Eyumema USA Inc! With the community’s generosity, our pantries have been able to provide meals to more than 2,500 families in the last year.

La Rabida had an amazing time at the Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago Safety Fair.

Infection Prevention is critical to keeping our patients, families, and the overall community healthy and safe.

At La Rabida, we serve children who have chronic, complex medical conditions, which call for extra precautions.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has reported an increase in Cyclospora cases statewide. Our Infection Prevention team shared these tips to reduce the chance of illness.
