Guilty Knowledge

GUILTY KNOWLEDGE is made up of Chicago music veterans with over 40 years experience on the local, national and international scene. We’ve toured and recorded with artists as diverse as Miles Davis, Charlie Musselwhite, Johnny Winter, Albert Collins, Albert King, Ernie Terrell, Eddie Clearwater, Jimmy Witherspoon, and many more. Guilty Knowledge was started by long time friends Casey Jones, vocals, and Tom Eckert, guitar-vocals, who have been playing together for over 40 years! He was a friend, mentor, big brother, and an all around inspiration for all the years I've known him. We will keep him in our hearts and continue to play as funky as we can! "Watch me!" Joined by world class funky bassist Felton Crews when he's in town, Bill "Knuckles" Knippen on drums, and our latest additions, Kimberly Johnson, vocals-keyboards and the extraordinary player John Nash, who handles the lions share of the bass playing these days
The music we do is the Rock & Roll, Soul, Funk, Blues, Jazz, Roots, and R&B that rolled out of our radios when we were all starting out! Guilty Knowledge plays the tunes we love from those days but we don’t do “covers”. We take all of our influences, from church to juke joint, and turn it into a rump-shaking celebration of the music we love, designed to make your toes tap, your heart sing and your butt shake! If you can’t dance to Guilty Knowledge you probably need a visit to the Rock and Roll Doctor to fix the hole in your soul! We’re available for every kind of occasion that requires good, live music! From corporate events, to birthday parties, weddings, fundraisers, festivals, and nightclubs. We’re not happy until we see you bop your head, tap your toes, sing along and hit the dance floor!
