Opera Training Program This year, in addition to the main stage productions, the program will offer weekly staged scenes program with piano.
At Chicago Summer Opera, we offer training in role preparation, vocal technique, dramatic preparation, audition technique, stage movement and diction. The session culminates with two concert/semi-staged performances with orchestra. This combination of training helps developing singers grow immensely in a short period of time. In the past 3 seasons we’ve had the privilege of having several leading world class voice teachers, coaches, performers, directors and conductors join us as faculty and/or conducted guest master classes. They've include: Emanuele Andrizzi, Lloyd Arriola, Anthony Barrese, Codrut Birsan, Elizabeth Byrne, Nicole Cabell, George Cederquist, John Demain, Julia Faulkner, Rod Gomez, Bruce Hall, Amy Hutchison, Quinn Kelsey, Sunny Joy Langton, Francesco Milioto, Andreas Mitisek, Yasuko Oura, Matthew Ozawa, Susanna Phillips, W. Stephen Smith and Michael Sylvester.
