It is both an honor and a bittersweet moment to recognize the faithful service of Majors Cathy and Todd Thielke as they conclude their appointment with the Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command.
Major Cathy Thielke has served as our General Secretary, providing steady leadership, guidance, and care across Human Resources, HRIS, and Property functions. Major Todd Thielke, as our Secretary for Mission Integration and Marketing, has helped strengthen our mission, and connect our work to those we serve.
Together, their leadership has been marked by faithfulness and a deep commitment to the mission.
This tribute is not only from leadership, but from the entire ARC Command family. Representing our staff, we are grateful for the voices and reflections shared by Julio Romero (Real Estate Development), Diane Lazcano (HR), Hamza Karim (HRIS) and Alberto Rapley Jr. (Business Development & Texhnology). Each tribute reflectsed what so many of us feel … deep appreciation for leaders who cared not just about the work, but about the people behind it.
As you step into your new appointments, we send you with our prayers, our gratitude, and our very best wishes. May God continue to bless your ministry as you serve and lead in the places He has called you next.

It’s a familiar story …
Robert was prescribed painkillers for a sports injury, and they helped at first, until his wife left with their children because they were “growing up seeing an addicted father.”
He then entered The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center, where he connected with professionals and others facing similar struggles to move forward.
Today, he’s back with his children and wife, and they’ve rediscovered what he calls their “best friendship.”
