VICTORY! SEIU Local 1 janitors fought back and SAVED THEIR JOBS! Five SEIU Local 1 janitors at 1051 Perimeter Drive in Schaumburg were told they were losing their union jobs after Marc Realty hired an irresponsible contractor to take over the building. After decades of keeping the building clean and safe, these janitors were left without work, health insurance, or a way to provide for their families.

Local 1 janitors refused to stay silent and back down! Working people organized, mobilized, signed petitions, and showed up every day demanding that Marc Realty right their wrong. Because workers stood together and took action, ALL FIVE JANITORS have been reinstated to their union jobs.

This victory is a powerful reminder that when working people stand together, we win.

Private security officers across the country are taking action today because they are among the lower-paid workers in the U.S. labor market, yet are twice as likely to die on the job as the average worker! It’s time to and show your solidarity with security officers demanding better.

📢 SUPPORT UNION JANITORS: Longtime SEIU Local 1 janitors who kept 1051 Perimeter Drive in Schaumburg clean, sanitized, and safe for tenants and visitors were displaced, leaving these janitors without health insurance or a means to provide for their families – all within a blink of an eye!

Marc Realty chose to hire an irresponsible contractor, leaving these dedicated workers behind. STAND WITH UNION JANITORS BY URGING MARC REALTY TO RETAIN THESE WORKERS WITH 51 YEARS OF COMBINED EXPERIENCE.

It only takes 30-seconds and sends a strong message that union work is here to stay!

TELL MARC REALTY: PROTECT UNION JOBS. Instead of valuing the workers who helped make their property successful, Marc Realty chose to replace its union cleaning contractor, eliminating five good union jobs and leaving these hardworking janitors without paychecks, health insurance, or a way to support their families.

BREAKING: The Department of Justice’s baseless charges against David Huerta are being dropped!

This attempt to weaponize the justice system against anyone who dares to defend immigrant workers collapsed because the truth, and the videos, don’t lie.

To every worker, every immigrant, everyone who’s ever been targeted: now is the time to keep organizing.

”There was never a real case, only an attempt to punish and silence me for exercising my constitutional rights.”

Charges have been dropped against SEIU United Service Workers West President David Huerta. A win for workers! We won’t stop speaking up to demand justice for all workers, no matter where they were born. We will not be silenced.

WE WON’T BACK DOWN! SEIU Local 1 members rallied outside 1051 Perimeter Rd in Schaumburg, where union-buster Marc Realty displaced 5 hardworking janitors after decades of service by bringing in an irresponsible contractor!

Marc Realty left these longtime janitors without work, health insurance, or a way to provide for their families, AND these janitors were told their applications for the new jobs would not be considered! That is how you treat the workers who have kept your building clean, sanitized, and cared for for, decades?

Shame on Marc Realty! Stop being a greedy union-buster and do the right thing by your tenants, workers, and your community – ensure workers have a fair opportunity to keep their jobs, respect the dignity of the people who have kept this building running every day.
