Rest in peace Carole Grant ❤️

Charlie lost his Grandma yesterday and she is already so missed. She was a lifetime Chicagoan and loved living in Andersonville. She grew up as an only child and went on to have four kids, eight grandkids, and two great-grandkids. What a legacy! She loved spending time with her family, catching up with her friends on the phone, and just enjoying life. We are so lucky she was in our lives and her commitment, love, and stories will stay with us forever. We love you Grandma! ❤️

Here's how we set up an interview shot on a recent shoot and all of the gear we used to make it happen!

Honestly, I think this is one of my favorite parts of a shoot. It's fun to walk into a space and transform it into exactly what we need. In this particular space, we had to move tables and chairs out of the way, we moved the piano to a different wall, and we had to block light sources. We recently bought a Small Rig accent light and have enjoyed using it to create some texture and dimension in the background of our shots. Overall, I'm really proud of how this turned out!

We love a Duhawk wedding!! Kelsey and Jared’s wedding day was full of joy, smiles, happy tears, and so much love. Some of our favorite moments include:
✨ Kelsey’s first look with her dad. It was such a special moment for their entire family! One of our favorite shots of the day is of her mom, sister, and brother all watching with tears in their eyes.
✨ Kelsey’s dad surprising her with a vintage car to take her to church!!! Such a cool touch.
✨ Kelsey and Jared’s first look as she walked down the aisle 🥹
✨ Their entrance into their reception. Everyone was on their feet, taking photos, and just celebrating them! It was beautiful to see.
✨ Kelsey’s special dance with her mom and all of the moms and daughters there. So sweet!

It was such an amazing day and we’re so lucky to have captured it all for them!

Come with us on a video shoot with One Million Degrees!

This shoot looks a bit different than what's typical for us. OMD wanted to create student recruitment videos for both Kennedy-King and Olive-Harvey Colleges and we planned to have each of their Presidents read a script on- camera. We were able to shoot in Kennedy-King's production studio, which was perfect for the style of video we were creating. We brought along our teleprompter, which we don't use often. It's always fun to switch things up!

Hearing a compliment like this at the end of an interview is music to our ears!

Whenever we do an interview of any kind, we approach it with great care. We know people can feel nervous and unsure of what to expect. And we get it - it's scary to sit in front of cameras, with people you don’t know well, and be vulnerable! But we pride ourselves in making each of our clients feel relaxed and comfortable. Our interviews always feel like a casual conversation. They’re never stiff, awkward, or too serious. When someone is nervous, they often end the interview in this way, saying they ended up feeling very comfortable and relaxed.
