There has to be more senior ukulele players out there. On July 30th 1-2:00 p.m. we are trying out our Ukulele Club. We are not professionals but like to play and sing. Please join us. All aged 55 or better are welcome!

In a celebration of the 250th Birthday of America and Soul Train (Chicago born) we had a Soul Train Dance Party on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Seniors danced to the tunes supplied by DJ Chico and the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services, The Southwest Side Seniors Service Organization supplied the punch and cupcakes. A great time was had by all!!

The center was honored today with a visit from 23rd Ward Alderman Silvana Tabares who presented us with a City Council resolution for our 30th Anniversary.

Sign up now for the AARP Safe Driver's Course. Class dates are July 7th and 8th (you must attend both days). The fee of $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members is due on the first day of class to the instructor by check or money order (no cash).
