Lots of reflections and feelings are still with me after visiting the MCA for the “Dancing the Revolution: From Dancehall to Reggaetón” exhibit and close out festivities.
They’re too layered to write. I don’t have what I want to say organized yet. What I can grasp is that I saw facets of myself in this exhibit. Di likkle pickney, the conduit, the archivist, the historian, the Dancehall Queen, the disruptor, the revolutionary.
I feel seen but also left out at the same time. So close, but also, so far to go. I’ll say more later.
I’m happy I went with the people I went with. Community activated the space authentically. I wouldn’t have made it in probably, because of my feelings. Muvva put it together perfectly and gave the moment the elevation it deserved.
Anyway, like I said, and always say… DANCEHALL IS A HIGH ART. Talk up to wi.
DHQ Ms. Mighty. Not the princess, not the duchess, not the baddie….QUEEN. Opening Act & Introduction as Hostess for the Fly Club’s 2025 Freak On A Leash show.
And yes 🙂↕️ I got right out of my set and straight to Emceeing the evening. A decorated vet. So grateful to be operating at a level of excellence in so many areas, for this amount of time.

2026 LOS ANGELES RECAP 💁🏾♀️
This entire journey has been so eye opening, challenging and affirming all at once. The Los Angeles stop was special for many reasons. The city is just so fun and alive. The weather was gorgeous. The people actually dance at parties. And of course getting to be my best self along side my dance sister Jazleen () just tops it all off
This video started out 11 minutes long. It was so hard to cram everything into one highlight video. It may be time for YouTube episodes. We shall see. But we gotta get this recap out to the people because I still have more recaps from NOLA and new announcements to make. So let’s get into it!
