Today is International Nonbinary People's Day.

We celebrate the nonbinary people in our community and beyond — beloved, whole, and made in the image of God. Your identity is not a question to be debated; it is a gift to be honored.

To everyone who exists outside the binary: thank you for showing up as yourselves. We see you and are so grateful for you!

We miscounted. There are 51 Annual Conferences in the U.S., and 25 — not 24 — now have a conference-appointed LGBTQ+ affirmation and inclusion team.

We're grateful for the work of the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference's Inclusion Team, and glad to set the record straight.

51 annual conferences in the U.S. 24 now have a conference-appointed LGBTQ+ affirmation and inclusion team.

This work has always been carried by LGBTQ+ people, allies, clergy, and laity who kept showing up year after year. Now, 24 conferences have said officially that this work belongs, on equal footing, as part of who they are.

Take a look through and see if yours made the list.

Want to help more conferences get there? Your gift is part of how we make that possible. rmnetwork.org/donate (link in bio)

As It Should Be is RMN's new storytelling campaign — sharing stories from across the movement that show what full affirmation of LGBTQ+ people looks like in real life, and remind us that the work of welcome is far from over.

Today, the Supreme Court ruled that states can bar transgender girls and women from competing on school sports teams that match who they are. This decision upholds bans in West Virginia and Idaho, and protects similar laws now in place across 27 states.

This ruling causes real harm, and it doesn't stand alone. It follows last year's ruling on gender-affirming care for trans minors, and it builds on a pattern that signals more restrictions ahead, not fewer.

To our trans siblings: you belong. On the field, in our churches, in your community, exactly as you are. No court, no state, and no legal decision gets to define who you are or how God sees you.
