📍 Working Credit took credit building to Humboldt, Tennessee!

Last month, we joined Tyson Foods for a Rapid Credit Counseling event and connected with nearly 50 participants for personalized credit building support. 💳📈

👏🏾 Special thanks to Ivory for leading our in-person counseling, Shawn for keeping the day running smoothly, and all our virtual counselors who supported participants throughout the event.

We also received plenty of positive feedback from the Tyson team on-site!

💳 Ivory Hodges knows firsthand how overwhelming credit challenges can feel because he’s been there himself. After transforming his own credit from poor to excellent, Ivory now serves as Working Credit’s Senior Credit Building Counselor, helping participants work toward goals like buying a home, renting an apartment, or purchasing a car. 🏡🚗

📣 We’re Hiring: Credit Building Counselor | Contractor

Working Credit is looking for a Credit Building Counselor - Contractor to join our Program Team and provide one-on-one credit building counseling and coaching to participants.

In this role, you’ll help participants understand their credit reports, set financial goals, address credit report issues, identify credit building tools and resources, and stay on track throughout their credit building journey.

📍 Remote position

⏰ Up to 20 hours/week, including some nights and weekends
Contractor position

🌎 Preference for IL, AR, or AL, but open to candidates anywhere in the U.S.

We’re looking for someone with at least one year of credit building or financial counseling experience who can build trust with participants and bring a non-judgmental approach to financial conversations.

A year and a half after his release from incarceration, Working Credit participant Jorge Nieto says he has already surpassed financial goals he once thought were years away.

💬 “Having the financial stability to afford an extra vehicle or to spend quality time with my family at a fair or other social event is massive for me.”

His story is one example of what’s possible when financial education, credit building and strong community relationships come together.

As Working Credit’s Shanta’ Rice says, “A lot of people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel. We build relationships.”
