JARC Training
JARC provides job training, workforce development, and bundled financial support services.
Initially founded in 1985 to address the loss of manufacturing industry and jobs in the Ravenswood community on the north side of Chicago, JARC’s scope has expanded to offer a range of social, economic and educational services to ensure that people who work do not live in poverty. We provide manufacturing training for job seekers and incumbent workers, in addition to one-on-one tutoring for community residents. Our comprehensive services ensure that low-income and disadvantaged job seekers can obtain living wage employment and achieve self-sufficiently while simultaneously meeting the needs of local manufacturing employers.

💙 Some people leave a lasting impact from the very moment they walk through our doors. Lacie was one of those people.
From the first moment Lacie stepped into JARC, she inspired the people around her with her determination, spirit, and commitment to building a career in the skilled trades. As a JARC graduate, she became an important part of our community, and her story continues to inspire us today.
In Lacie’s memory, we established the Lacie Hexom Fund to help support the next generation of welders pursuing their careers through JARC.
The fund provides support for our welding trainees, helping them access career training and support services that can make a meaningful difference as they work toward their goals. Lacie believed in creating a future through skilled trades. Through this fund, her legacy continues to open doors for others who are taking that same first step. This Manufacturing Month, we’re honoring Lacie by continuing to invest in the people who are building their futures in manufacturing. 🥹💙
