We’ve officially moved into our new manufacturing facility! 💜

The original 10 for $10 bundles were intentionally priced extremely low to help us generate enough orders to get production running in our new space. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us and helped make that possible.

However, as a business, we simply could not continue offering 10 full-size products for $100. We repeatedly shared that the price would increase, and while we truly hate having to raise it, the costs of ingredients, shipping, packaging, and tariffs on ingredients imported from Africa have all increased.

Now that we’re operating in the new facility, the bundle is $125, and it will soon increase again to $150.

We know some older ads may still mention the original $100 price, and we’re very sorry for any confusion. If you missed the $100 offer, you can still get 10 full-size products for $125—just $12.50 each—before the next price increase.

📦 AN IMPORTANT 10 FOR 10 ORDER UPDATE

We need to share an important update for everyone still waiting on a 10 for 10 preorder.

We emailed every affected purchaser last Friday, July 17, with the full update. However, the email had a 53% open rate, which means nearly half of the people waiting may not have seen it.

(We know inboxes get crowded, emails land in promotions or spam, and some messages simply get missed. We want to make sure everyone has the information here too, especially anyone who may be learning about the delay for the first time.)

We truly believed we would meet the revised July shipping timeline. Unfortunately, a few critical ingredients needed to finish production have been delayed in coming to us.

⏳ HERE IS THE LATEST ESTIMATED TIMELINE

📦 Orders placed before June 15:
These orders are already in production. We expect them to begin shipping in early August, with most customers receiving their packages during the second week of August.

📦 Orders placed June 16 - July 17:
These orders are waiting on one final anti-frizz ingredient. We currently expect them to begin shipping around the end of August through the beginning of September at the latest.

The good thing at least.. is that we are so close to getting through this final stretch, and our team is working every day to complete and ship these orders without cutting corners or changing the formulas you purchased.

💳 A NEW $50 STORE CREDIT HAS BEEN ISSUED
Every customer affected by this latest delay has been issued a new $50 CurlMix store credit.

(Some customers were also affected by the previous delay and received a $50 credit at that time. If you were affected by both delays, you now were issued a total of $100 in CurlMix store credit.)
Your credit is connected to the email address used to place your order.

You can use your credit on products that are currently in stock. In-stock orders ship from Chicago within two business days. 🚚

We sincerely hope you will stay with us through this final production window. Your original preorder remains active, your 10 for $10 products WILL BE FULFILLED. (Do not worry, you WILL get your products!)

Also... the 10 for 10 bundle has now increased in price to $125. It will soon increase again to $150.

However, we completely understand if waiting no longer works for you.

For the past few weeks...

We've been packing up equipment, moving inventory, and deciding what comes with us into thenext chapter.

Every shelf has a memory.

Every machine has a story.

Every corner reminds me of a different version of myself.

The version of me who thought bigger was always better.

The truth is these past few years have been ego death after ego death.

I've had to let go of titles.

Let go of expectations.

And now I'm letting go of the factory.

This chapter is ending because a new one is beginning.

We're simplifying.

We're rebuilding.

The right way.

We're becoming leaner and stronger.

Much like those Hercules training montages, the transformation doesn't happen during the victory scene.

It happens during the hard part.

The uncomfortable part.

The rebuilding part.

Two weeks ago, my worst nightmare happened.

My sweet baby boy, my bug, my love, my 8 yr old baby, my oldest child, almost lost his fingers.

Not jokingly.

Quite literally.

His fingers were nearly CUT OFF.

Nearly severed in a freak accident.

We were bringing in groceries and while he held the door for me, his fingers were caught in a VERY HEAVY metal door that closes extremely fast.

When he screeched, I'd never heard my baby yell like that.
The sound haunts me.

When I rescued his fingers, blood gushed from his hand like a horror movie.

Blood everywhere.

I immediately applied pressure to his hands without revealing if his fingertips were still attached.

I was too afraid to look.

Tears started flowing.

Z**i (my 6 year old) was screaming.

Zuri was wailing.

I was in complete panic and shock with blood dripping down both of our hands, stuck in the basement of the building.

There was nothing more terrifying than the reveal that his finger was still attached.

Though attached, his finger was deeply cut through, fingernail lifted, and bone was exposed.

In that moment, I suddenly understood the meaning of motherhood.

Protection.

No greater job than to bring life to the world, and to protect it.

I felt guilty.

Like I'd failed him.

Measuring my guilt and panic in that moment was something
I'll always carry.

We rushed him to the hospital and he had surgery the next day.

His finger was repaired and he's completely safe now.

Im forever changed by that moment.

I think I may have experienced more trauma than he did...maybe not, I don't know.

But I learned the definition of motherhood in a split second.

Mothers are the heroes in our lives.

This is for every mom who has rescued her baby from danger and held their hand in suffering.
