Stuffed Love shares that little bit of hope through hand-stitched heart pillows and more! They are distributed in major hospitals in eighteen different states.
We are proud to say that we have distributed thousands of heart pillows per year to various people, from those with congenital heart defects to those battling homelessness and poverty. One of my main projects is creating hand-stitched heart pillows for Conquering CHD, a national organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for those affected by congenital heart defects. These pillows are then used in a variety of ways, from propping up IVs, easing pain after surgery, being a superhero toy, and serving as a memento for the difficult times the family has survived. Hearts in Illinois go to Level I Trauma Center hospitals Chicagoland hospitals: Advocate Oak Lawn, Advocate Park Ridge, Rush, Comers Children’s Hospital, Lurie Children’s Hospital. We also help veterans, seniors, the developmentally disabled, the sick, and children in hospitals. We are honored to be able to share that little bit of hope with as many people as we can.

A great teacher does so much more than teach lessons. They build confidence, create safe spaces, recognize potential, and sometimes provide exactly That Little Bit of Hope a child needs.

SNAP CHANGES BEGIN TODAY
New SNAP rules are affecting families across Illinois.
Some adults may now need to document 80 hours per month of work, training, volunteering or other qualifying activity to keep benefits.

Our friends at Buck’s Farmstand did it again! Fresh corn, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cabbage and more are filling the Stuffed Love Food Pantry and going directly to families in our community.
This is what happens when a community takes care of one another. We can all do something — and together, those “somethings” make a BIG difference.

At Stuffed Love, the heart has always been at the center of who we are.
Our handmade hearts are more than pillows. They are a reminder that someone cares—a little comfort, a little strength, and That Little Bit of Hope during some of life's hardest moments.
Today, we celebrate every heart, especially the Heart Warriors and families whose courage inspires us every day. ❤️

Heart Mom Nicole and Heart Warrior Sophia took the field for the official “PLAY BALL!” — and absolutely ROCKED IT!
Their entire family has given so much love, time and support to Stuffed Love and the families we serve. Seeing them have this moment together made us incredibly proud. ❤️

After all the planning, sharing, fundraising and excitement, Team CHD Illinois’ Congenital Heart Disease Day with the Chicago White Sox is HERE!
Today we come together for our Heart Warriors, Heart Angels, Heart Families and the entire CHD community. ❤️
⚾ Dr. Kiona Allen will take the mound for the ceremonial First Pitch!
❤️ Heart Mom Nicole Vlahos, with Heart Warrior Sophia by her side, will have the honor of getting the game started with those two words we’ve been waiting to hear…

And before the game, our Team CHD Illinois families and supporters will have the opportunity to participate in the pregame parade on the field!

Please give yourself PLENTY of extra time to get to Rate Field and park. Traffic around the ballpark will be heavy, parking will take additional time, and we don’t want anyone missing the parade or any of today’s special moments!
