Chicago-Kent Law Library

Though classes are canceled for Yom Kippur, the library will be open its regular hours on Monday, September 21.

In observance of Labor Day, the law library will close at 2 pm on Friday and reopen at our normal time next Tuesday, September 8.

We hope everyone's first week of classes went well! Here are our hours for this semester:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 7 pm
Friday: 9 am – 5 pm
Saturday: 9 AM - 3:30 PM
Sunday: Closed

Happy first day of orientation! All new students (1Ls and LLMs) should have received an email with setup instructions for various databases, including Westlaw, Lexis, WASA, and CALI! 2Ls also received instructions for setting up Bloomberg Law.

The law library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of Independence Day.

We're on summer hours until the beginning of the fall semester! We'll also be closed for various holidays, so be sure to check here, on Google, and on the law library website for more information.

Reference hours remain the same, so feel free to stop by during open hours or send us an email with any reference questions, including those you encounter during your summer jobs!

The library is offering appellate brief sessions next week, March 30 through April 3. Librarians can assist with citation marking, table of authorities, template formatting, and other Word issues you may encounter.

Students MUST sign up through the Bookings page that is linked in their LW2 Canvas announcement. We will not accept appointments via email, and we cannot take walk-ins next week.
