Flora Chicago

This one is for Sarah. Goth queen and great florist. The last 8 years have been a blast. We’ve had some struggles (Covid, personalities like chalk and cheese) but we’ve worked together to overcome them and grow Flora to the business it is today. I am so proud of Flora and so grateful for Sarah’s contribution to what we have become. It is with sadness, but also excitement that I farewell Sarah from business partnership ,and take on Flora as sole owner. Sarah is off on a new path and I wish her the absolute best. I know she is excited about this new chapter and I am thrilled for her. As for Flora. Watch this space. There will be a few changes but what will not change is our commitment to you, our customers. I am excited to continue to create gorgeous arrangements, bringing a little bit of extra to all your occasions. You, our valued clients, are our priority and I am delighted be able to continue the great relationships we have built with some of you, and excited for all the new relationships, collaborations, and partnerships we hope to build going forward.

Big or small, young or old, flowers are for everyone. These sweet arrangements were sent by a doting grandma to her 5 and 8 year old grand daughters to celebrate their birthdays just two days apart. The flowers may fade but the little pots will likely become sentimental keepsakes with memories of that special birthday lasting forever. Like the copper horse my grandad gave me as a kid. It sits on my window sill and holds a special place in my heart. Flowers are for the moment but the feelings around giving and receiving them last a lifetime.

From beauty comes … let’s be real, waste. Letting you all in on a little secret. Well, not so little and not really a secret but…. A little behind the scenes at Flora while we do what we can to reduce our footprint on this great earth. No floral foam - reusable chicken wire instead, composting all our green waste (thanks The Urban Canopy) and recycling all our paper and plastic waste. It doesn’t seem like much but if we all do our bit, it’ll make a difference, right?

Did you know that if you bring in your own containers, we will fill them for you? Check out these cute arrangements for a cocktail party tonight. Our customer brought in these darling white vessels (complete with flower frogs) and we threw these together. What a way to spruce up your event!
