WGN Wake Up Weather: After a fabulous first weekend of fall-- we're going to keep the nice weather rolling for one and a half more days. (Though several forecast models have Tuesday rain moving in much later.) Chicago Bears game tonight has light winds and clear skies. We'll get soggy later this week.
Details on the WGN Morning News with Meteorologist Morgan Kolkmeyer and Konrad until 10a. I'll see ya tonight on The Forecasters with the weekly climate report. Have a great day and GO BEARS!

SUNDAY FORECAST & 7 DAY OUTLOOK: Some foggy spots around still-- but it will be quickly lifting in the next hour or so. A bit more clouds today that yesterday's raw beautiful blue skies-- but most rain chances are just some sprinkles for far western Chicagoland. High temps a bit warmer with highs in the low 70s inland & a bit cooler lakeside.
Monday, we get a bit milder with highs in the mid 70s and a great night for Bears vs. Birds. Monday Night Football as the Chicago Bears take on the Philadelphia Eagles looks like we'll have clear skies and kick off temps in the 60s with light winds.
If clouds hold off until the late afternoon, we'll end up with temps in the upper 70s on Tuesday. A bit muggier by the evening and a chance of some late evening showers. Our calendar turn into October looks a bit soggy for Wednesday and the potential for heavier periods of rain on Thursday. Cooler weather finishes out next week.
Alyssa Donovan TV updates our forecast coming up on the TV Evening News at 5/9/10p.

WGN Wake Up Weather: Goooood morning, Chicagoland! Our first fall weekend takes a cloudier turn for today. Temps a bit warmer with highs in the lower 70s. Slight chance of a few showers/ sprinkles-- but I think most of us in the city will stay dry.
We've got another warm up in the next few days-- and 80 degree day is not totally out of the question for this coming week. I'll have the details on the WGN Morning News starting up at 7a. Stop by and say "hi".

Sky show happening in about 30 minutes with the rising of the Full Harvest Moon in the east for Chicagoland.
The full moon closest to the fall equinox always gets the name of the Harvest Moon. With our nearly equal hours of night and day this time of year-- the sun and moon are aligned to give us a moonrise that almost syncs perfectly the sun setting in the west.
In the times before electricity this calendar coincidence helped farmers harvest fields well after sunset. The moon was officially full this morning at 11:50a. It'll appear nearly full for the next several nights, so plenty of chances to catch our celestial little sister in the sky.
Donovan TV has the latest on our forecast coming up on the web/app edition of the WGN TV Evening News at 9/10 due to sports on our airwaves. See ya tomorrow for the WGN Morning News, starting at 7a.

SATURDAY FORECAST & 7 DAY OUTLOOK: A fabulous fall day for today around Chicagoland. High temps a bit warmer than yesterday, as most of us get to 70. A light east wind could keep things a bit cooler lakeside, though.
Tonight, a nice sky show from Mother Nature with the Full Harvest Moon which always rises just as the sun is setting. The timing of the Harvest Moon helped farmers in the days before electricity to continue harvesting fields for hours after dark. White Sox playing under some mainly clear skies.
More clouds for Sunday and most of us should stay dry-- but a couple shower / sprinkles could pop in the western suburbs. High temps likely near the average of 72.
Warmer for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the slightly muggier mid to possibly upper 70s. Tuesday's high temp could be cooler if we see incoming clouds arriving a bit earlier than the late afternoon.
Soggy weather for our calendar turn to October, both Wednesday and Thursday could see rain that might be pretty heavy at times. Back to cooler by the end of the week.

WGN Wake Up Weather: Goooood morning! Our first weekend of fall and it's looking pretty good for Chicagoland. Today, much more blue skies than we saw yesterday-- and while we'll still be a cooler by the lake today, most inland area get to 70 degrees. We do have a few raindrops in the weekend forecast though, I'll have details when we get things going on the WGN Morning News starting at 7. If you're up, stop by and say "hi".

FRIDAY FORECAST & 7 DAY OUTLOOK : A lot of clouds around Chicagoland this afternoon. I can't rule of a sprinkle of two as the clouds dissipate-- but nearly everyone stays dry the next 30ish hours. We'll have some clearing this afternoon-- but it won't be quite as much nor happen as quickly as it did yesterday. Tonight, our overnight lows will get a bit chilly away from the lake with some spots possibly dipping to the upper 40s around daybreak tomorrow.
The first weekend of fall is looking pretty nice. Temps near 70 both days and decent amount of sunshine both days too. A few sprinkles are possible on Sunday-- but some more impactful rain heads our way for the middle of the week.

WGN Wake Up Weather: A few showers this morning-- though most look to stay to the west of the city. Clouds linger into the afternoon, so not as mild as yesterday-- but still quite comfortable.
Decreasing clouds overnight means a bit cooler in the city and a bit chillier away from the lake. The weekend is looking pretty good. Meteorologist Morgan Kolkmeyer updates our forecast on the Morning News until 6a And Paul Konrad goes until 10a. And another awesome young human tries the green screen with our Friday Forecaster coming up in our 630 half hour. And much more hilarity for this first Friday of fall on the Morning News until 10a.
I'm on for the WGN TV Midday Show, starting at 11.

THURSDAY FORECAST & 7 DAY OUTLOOK: Sunshine emerging after a cloudy morning and things looking nice for an afternoon of Chicago Cubs baseball-- even better if they secure a wildcard spot! High temps look to crack into the 70s in our sunnier spots. Tonight a chance of showers possible overnight, especially in the western suburbs.
Not as much sun on Friday, so temps will be a bit cooler than today. We bounce back Saturday and again- a slight chance of showers to our far western suburbs. Sunday a bit warmer but also a few widespread showers too. Monday looks fantastic. Low 70s, low humidity, mostly sunny skies and temps for the Bears game look to be in the 60s with mainly clear skies.
Much soggier for the last bit of September. Demetrius Ivory updates our forecast coming up on the WGN TV Evening News at 4/5/6/9/10p. I'm back tomorrow for the WGN TV Midday Show, starting at 11.
