I rose today, stretched and gave God thanks as I do each day and then I saw the news. It immediately took me back to 2024 where I was able to see him receive his flowers on this side and watch his excitement as it was revealed that a new wing at the National A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum would be named after him. I am grateful for the opportunity to not only do events for Operation P.U.S.H but to share a few laughs with such an amazing person. All of my kids have had the great honor to work with or meet him and they do not take it lightly and understand the work that must continue. Well done God's good and faithful servant. My heart and prayers are with the Jackson family.

I promise we still here..lol, we just need to get better at posting🫣. But what better time to post than today as The Chicago Urban League held their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Empowerment Center in the Chatham community. The League continues to create spaces to help shape and change the narrative for our communities. The Wealth and Opportunity Summit is just one of those programs and I am always honored to assist in the planning and production of this event. From the gems dropped from our woman panel moderated by the beautiful and talented Larvetta L. Loftin-Arnold to the breakout sessions with experts like Katrina Roddy of The Corporate Breakup. Thank you Kelly Evans for trusting us with your vision.

Last night was EPIC! What an amazing night of celebration in the Labor Community. We honored some of the communities top Union champions that are working hard for today's workers. From making sure that servers and bartenders receive fair pay to ensuring our flight attendants are treated with respect. The icing on the cake was honoring the first black Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives and giving his flowers now by honoring them with the 2024 Gentle Warriors Award. We also announced the naming of the new Jesse Jackson Civil Rights wing which will be located at the newly renovated . I am honored that I get to plan and produce a piece of our history every year (8 years and counting).

I'm not going to say the old cliche that "when you do what you love, it doesn't feel like work." Because it does feel like work thus says my knees and ankles at the end of an event! But there is definitely a difference when you do it because you love what you do, your tribe is dope and you have great clients. I am humbled for the acknowledgement by . What an awesome week of purposeful events!! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to plan, manage and coordinate events that impact the community and African-American entrepreneurs. All of the nuggets that were dropped by Mark Walker at his break out session and all of the other speakers for the Summit and at the Ground Breaking for were priceless.
