*Exquisite* One of my favorite parts of digital marketing is getting away from the computer and actually visiting the places our clients bring to life. We’ve been working through photography from shoots for Platt Hill Nursery, capturing some of the beautiful landscapes they’ve designed for high-end homes. It’s so much fun to walk these properties and see how the right landscaping can completely transform a home, creating new spaces for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the outdoors while adding to the overall beauty and value of the property.

And then we get to bring those transformations back to the computer and turn them into marketing content.

Photography is one of the ways we help home-related businesses showcase the work they’re already doing. Beautiful project photography can become website content, social media, portfolio galleries, email marketing, Google content and so much more. Instead of telling prospective customers what you can do, you can show them.

We love working with businesses creating beautiful spaces inside and outside the home, including landscapers, patio and hardscape companies, waterscape and pool companies, contractors, Realtors, home stagers and other home service professionals. Okay, THIS is the kind of AI update I’ve been waiting for. 🤯 I’ve actually tried to make ChatGPT do this in earlier versions. I’d say things like, “Remind me about this on Friday,” or want it to put something directly onto my calendar, and that functionality simply wasn’t there. Well, it is now. And I’m ridiculously excited about it.

Today I told ChatGPT, “Remind me every Monday at noon to prepare my BNI Education Moment.” It created a real recurring reminder inside ChatGPT. Then I told it to remind me Friday morning to send an email for Faith Driven Entrepreneur. Done. But then I took it one step further. I connected my Google Calendar and asked ChatGPT to actually create the event on my calendar. It did. Now I have the ChatGPT reminder AND the event sitting on my Google Calendar.

This is what gets me excited about where AI is going, especially for entrepreneurs. We’re busy. We’re driving. We’re going from meetings to appointments to school pickup to networking events, and half the battle is remembering all of the little things that pop into our heads along the way. Now I can be on the go and say, “Remind me to follow up with that client Friday.” “Put this on my Google Calendar.” “Every Monday, remind me to prepare for Tuesday’s meeting.” And then I can stop carrying that task around in my brain and keep moving.

To me, this is where AI starts moving beyond being something we sit down at a computer to “use” and starts becoming an actual personal assistant that can help us stay productive wherever we are. For entrepreneurs especially, that’s huge. I’ve been waiting for this capability, and now that I have it, I have a feeling I’m going to find about 100 different ways to use it. 😂

A little behind the scenes from today! 🎥 I had the opportunity to interview David with iAdapt in Lake Bluff while Travis and his team with Visual Filmworks worked their magic behind the camera. One of my favorite parts of marketing is helping business owners tell their story. There is so much knowledge, experience and personality behind every business that you simply can't capture with stock photos or generic content.

Sometimes the best way to bring that story to life is to sit down, have a conversation and let the business owner share what they know best.

I loved getting to be on the interviewing side of the camera today and watching Travis turn our conversation into professional video content. I can't wait to see the finished product!

👏 Last week I had the opportunity to attend the EmpowerHER Collective hosted by the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce, and it was such a wonderful evening celebrating women in business. The event brought together so many talented entrepreneurs and professionals who are building businesses, serving their communities, and encouraging one another along the way.

We enjoyed a fun fashion show, connected with local businesses at sponsor booths (including the only guy in attendance, Boone Ott from Gotscha Covered), heard an inspiring presentation about growth and overcoming obstacles in business, and shared some delicious appetizers while making new connections.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was simply meeting so many kind, welcoming women who genuinely wanted to support one another's success. Those conversations are what make events like this so valuable.

A big thank you to the Lake Zurich Are Chamber of Commerce and everyone who helped make the evening such a success. I look forward to continuing the conversations, supporting fellow local businesses, and cheering each other on as we grow.

🌼 As someone who spends most of the day behind a computer, I've realized something. My body knows the difference between an office and a garden. After hours of screens, artificial lighting, and staring at something just a couple of feet away, my eyes start asking for a break.

🪴 So today, I brought my office outside. Now my "coworkers" are buzzing bees, yellow finches stopping by the bird bath, vegetables growing nearby, and more flowers than I can count. It's amazing what an hour of natural light, fresh air, and focusing on things farther away than a laptop screen can do for your mind.

☕ Owning a digital marketing agency has given me the flexibility to work where I'm most productive and happiest. As long as the Wi-Fi reaches the garden, that's probably where you'll find me on beautiful days like this. Ironically, I spend my career helping businesses grow online, but moments like these remind me how important it is to disconnect from our screens every once in a while and reconnect with the real world. Nature has a way of resetting us.

👉 So here's my question: Where's your work happy place? Is it a coffee shop? A beach? Your backyard? Your office with the AC blasting? I'd love to hear where you do your best thinking.
