Chef Chris and co-owner Jacqueline are headed to Millennium Park for Chicago Gourmet’s Rise & Shine, and we couldn’t be more excited for them!

Chris will be serving up a special Curry Chicken Gumbo inspired by the incredible culinary traditions of Chef Faraz Sardharia of Tandoor Char House — a little Junebug Louisiana soul meeting the flavors of India.

But before the big day gets underway, we just want to say THANK YOU.

To every person who has walked through our doors, ordered a handpie, shared a bowl of gumbo, grabbed a box of beignets, told a friend about us, left us a review, or simply kept coming back — you helped make moments like this possible.

We love our Junebug family more than you know. ❤️

We’re getting SO excited for Chicago Gourmet’s Rise & Shine!

On Sunday, September 27 at Millennium Park, Chef Chris of Junebug and Chef Faraz Sardharia of Tandoor Char House will each be serving their own dish, taking inspiration from each other’s menus and traditions.

For Chef Chris, that means Curry Chicken Gumbo — a Junebug creation inspired by the rich cultural and culinary heritage Chef Faraz brings to Tandoor Char House every day.

And don’t worry, Junebug family… we’re saving some of that deliciousness for y’all, too. Curry Chicken Gumbo will be making its way to Junebug the week after the event!
