The Squids

For the 25th week in a row, our recording of "The Harmonica Song" is still the #1 punk song world wide on the N1M Global Punk Songs Chart for the week of August 5th, through August 12th of 2026.

Blah, Blah, Blah, that's not the story this week. The story is tomorrow August 8th is the 24th anniversary of The Squids very last live performance on a hot and summery Saturday night in Chicago, 24 years ago, August 8th, 2002, at El Jardin at 3335 N.Clark St. in Wrigleyville.

What's cool is everybody to this day, still ask us when and where our next show will be, as if we never stopped playing. What's also cool is when you all ask when our next batch of new Squids songs will come out, even though our last official recordings were released in 2005.

Thanks everybody, it's a really nice thing for all us who ever played with The Squids, as we worked so hard as musicians, since way back in the durty 90's to make things happen. To our younger fans all over the world now, you envision the 90's as the "olden days" and picture it all in your heads in black and white. However for some of us, and some of you, it still feels like yesterday.

And "The Harmonica Song" still sits on top of the punk charts in 2026.
