π It is my honor to be able to teach a skill that has been around waaay before I was even thought of. To think once upon a time I was terrified of a sewing machine and sewed everything by hand. Look at me now teaching others to sew. Sewn Stories is a safe and enjoyable space to sew, embroider with , and write a small note, phrase, or poem for you or your loved one. In this time of chaos and uncertainty this is a space for you to take your mind off of your troubles and be free and learn to sew and embroider.
β’β’β’
𧡠No, you donβt have to know how to sew or embroider for you will learn and walk away after this workshop a little bit more confident and comfortable doing so.
β’β’β’
ποΈ We have 2οΈβ£ more dates available to RSVP for the upcoming Stories Sewn workshop (link in bio) . Looking forward to seeing you there!

π«ΆπΎ Dear Mahniya, I hope this trip taught you that your family is beyond the house you grow up in. Your Caribbean roots run deep! You learned crocheting with your great grandmother and tried local fruits and dishes. It was important for me to expose you to where you come from at a young age because legacy is important and youβre apart of that. To the first of many more trips together girly. Love you deep my sour patch kid!

π₯Ή Iβm still floating high from this body of work that was such a celebratory process to make because it stemmed from me playing Sugar Mas in St. Kitts and Nevis and my experience in Ghana, West Africa. Iβm truly blessed and excited to see whatβs next with this body of work.
