Since 2012 Adams Cider is a craft hard cider maker in the heart of Chicago. We thought this was pretty cool and decided to try it out ourselves.
We became interested in Hard Cider when we decided to look into the genealogy of our family. Related to the Presidents John Adams, John Quincy Adams as well as their Patriot Cousin Sam Adams, we found out that John made hard cider on his farm, and was rumored to have drank a mug of hard cider with his breakfast every morning while in the White House. This year we are bringing back Sam's Hopped Cider, a dry hopped cider using Mosaic hops from Yakima Chief Hops. We'll dry hop for a minimum of 3 days. Thank you to our QA/QC coordinator for her watchful eyes in this process.
