UNIFIKATION

UNIFIKATION is basically a media service that tries to bring together artists, athletes, and activists, that grew up and where native to the inner city of Chicago, together with mainstream academics, in order to bring about positive social and environmental change. We feel that many inner city artists are largely ignored because their art reflects the sometimes harsh reality of their lives and is not as marketable to mainstream culture, media, and even education. UNIFIKATION aims to bridge the gap between media, social justice, cultural issues, and environmental awareness, activism, education, plus solutions. The task is large and difficult and we are learning as we grow but through new media networking and access to the world wide web, we believe that the work is in a constant state of development and UNIFIKATION aims to bind itself to any source with flexibility and fluidity.
