2AM Whimsy

I am nearly caught up with the overdue commissions & pending orders! I was so lost in my mental and physical health challenges, even catching up to this point didn’t feel like it could happen.
And here’s where I shout out my amazing, giving, beautiful partner 🩷 SAPPY TIME 🩷 There is no way I could’ve caught up, or done the events I’ve been able to, or make the art Ive made, without him.
He has taken care of me without hesitation. He learns all of my ever-fluctuating health needs and adapts instantly. He cooks me amazing nutritious meals every single day, even while my tummy has seemed like it hated all food, and then cleans the kitchen after.
Even though I constantly talk about how lucky I am to have found him, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully express it. (Acts of Service love language go WEEEEE 🫶🏻🫶🏻) 🤸
Healing, adapting, and recovering all come a lot easier with someone like him around. I am so so fortunate.

Thank you to everyone that came out and supported our pop-up at Nabala Cafe today! It was such a lovely day filled with so many of my fav familiar faces, and tons of beautiful new ones!!! ~^o^~🩷

Pictured below is a lil SNEAK of all I’ve prepared. I’ll have a huge variety of handmade whimsy mirrors, lucky knot charms, some hand-painted & hand-embellished bags, & more!! I’ll also have all-new art prints, stickers, bookmarks, & buttons. But perhaps the things I’m most excited about are the fan-fav Mystery Bags, but I’ve made new ones exclusive to the event! 🫶🏻
My booth will be in the East Room, right in the middle. 🤍
So stoked and feel so grateful to be a part of this years Cil-con! Really hope to see some familiar faces and can’t wait to meet some new ones 🐦‍⬛

I haven’t posted in a while! Since my health entered a rocky stage it’s been hard to keep up with social media activity. I always struggle to post my art in general, but with my mental health and autoimmune issues flaring up and stealing days from me, it’s especially hard to find the energy to post about anything.
The good news- It has been a bit better. Since I’ve last updated, I was able to vend at Cross County Mall and the Mattoon Library, and the book I illustrated the cover for has officially RELEASED!
Such a surreal feeling to see my art on the cover (and endsheets, back cover, dustjacket, and spine hehe) of a published novel!!! So so grateful. 💞
Thank you to everyone for their patience with me as I was learning to deal with uncharted territory regarding my own health. When both my physical and mental health are in the pits, it’s difficult to get creative and keep up with art, as you can imagine.
I have a lot of plans for myself and my art career, but I’ve been forced to accept that my mortal flesh betrays my ambition. (lol) I will keep going, but will pay much closer attention to my condition in the process. ❤
I’ll be at Cil-Con at the Front Street Convention Center in G**s on Sept 11 & 12 from 12-7pm. and my table will have a bunch of totally new trinkets, art, and more! I hope to see you there!
