Chicago's premier queer/LGBT+ country/western dancers, thrilling audiences in Chicago and beyond!
Firebrand is the performance troupe of the Second City Country Dance Association. Formed in 2019, its membership includes many dancers who formerly performed with earlier country western dance troupes, the Windy City Cowboys and the Second City Outlaws. This inclusive, not-for-profit, LGBTQ+ country/western dance troupe can be seen performing at local street fairs and parades throughout the Midwest. Firebrand is the visual expression of SCCDA’s mission: to support and encourage the growth of country/western dancing in the Chicagoland area.

Firebrand has been hard at work getting ready for another performance season, and it’s finally almost time to hit the floor. 🤠✨
Countless practices, sore muscles, laughter, chaos, and way too many cowboy hats later, we’re ready to kick things off this weekend at Hoedown in the Dunes!
Catch our first performances of the season this Friday and Saturday. We’re excited, a little exhausted, and ready to bring the energy all weekend long. ❤️
