WHO CAN NAME THAT TUNE?? 👀
Bonus points if you heard this one in a dark club sometime around 2008…
One of my favorite things about DJing is digging deep into my collection and pulling out records that changed my life. The songs that made me fall in love with dance music. The songs that made me want to learn how to produce because HOW DO YOU EVEN MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT??
I was so excited to drop a few of those during Friday’s 360 with James Hype and watch so many of you react the same way I did when I first heard this record nearly 20 years ago 🥹
Thank you to everyone who came out, and to James HYPE and Auris Presents for having me. I never take these moments for granted. Let’s do it again soon 🫶

25 years of GRAMMYS on the Hill!!!!!
I’ve spent my career inside music. Not just making it, but understanding what it actually does for us. Music is the way we tell each other what it’s like to be alive. It’s how we grieve, how we celebrate, how we say the things we can’t say any other way.
This is what it means to be human. And right now, it needs protection.
Today, the craft so many of us have spent 10,000 hours on can be ripped off in 10 seconds. Trillion-dollar companies are being trained on songs made by people who can barely pay rent. Voices are being cloned to profit off of artists’ most personal and important instrument without their knowledge.
AI isn’t hypothetical anymore. The decisions being made right now, every day, determine what gets protected, what gets taken, and who benefits.
Creators deserve transparency. Creators deserve consent. Creators deserve the right to their own voice, image, and likeness.
That shouldn’t be controversial!!
This is the moment where lines get drawn. And once they are, they’re hard to undo.
If you care about music, this is the time to pay attention. Not later. Now. Because music made by humans, for other humans, is worth fighting for.

I don’t often do the whole ✨GRATEFUL✨ thing, but Grammy week is always special.
Yes, there are surreal moments. Hugging people I knew twenty years ago who are now nominated for awards, talking shop next to legends, dodging five separate camera crews while drum sets and grand pianos zoom past.
But behind the red carpet and performances is an entire ecosystem of people trying to make this industry more fair, more inclusive, and more sustainable. The producers. The engineers. The singers. The songwriters. The folks whose names you don’t see in a headline, but whose fingerprints are on everything you’ve ever loved.
I care deeply about that part. I'm proud to represent Chicago and serve as one of 42 National Trustees who lead this organization.
And okay fine, I did wear some very good outfits.
