🇳🇵 NEPAL CALLS FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE 🌍

Nepal is preparing to take its voice to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, placing climate justice at the center of the global conversation.

For countries like Nepal, climate change is not a distant threat it is happening now. Recent devastating floods have destroyed homes, roads, livelihoods and entire communities, while families continue to grieve those who have been lost or remain missing.

The people who have contributed the least to the climate crisis are too often paying its greatest price.

As Nepal brings this message to the world stage, we stand with communities on the frontlines and call on global leaders to move beyond words toward accountability, and meaningful action.

Climate justice is human justice. Nepal’s voice must be heard. 🇳🇵🌍

With great sadness, we share that the husband of one of the women in our community remains missing, along with the entire group he was traveling with, following the devastating floods in Nepal.

As the days have passed without any news, families whose loved ones remain missing are now facing the heartbreaking reality that they may not return home. After holding onto hope and waiting for answers, families are beginning to move forward with their traditional faith rituals, prayers, and ceremonies to honor their loved ones and seek peace during this unimaginable time.

There are no words for the pain of losing someone without being able to say goodbye, without answers, and without knowing where they are.

We are holding our woman, her family, and every family experiencing this uncertainty and grief very close to our hearts. May their faith, traditions, and communities surround them with strength.

🇳🇵 NEPAL EMERGENCY FLOOD RELIEF

Many of you have asked how you can support our communities following the devastating floods in Nepal.

While our team is safe, many of the villages and families within our network have been severely affected. The husband of one of our team members was trekking with a group of 75 people when the floods occurred, and they still remain missing. We continue to hold hope and ask for your prayers. 🙏

Empowerment Collective is providing survivor-led, person-to-person relief, working directly with affected families to provide food, medicine, essential supplies, livelihood recovery, and individualized support.

We also hold in our hearts all living beings affected—the people, animals, birds, trees, and countless forms of life impacted by this disaster.

Nepal Emergency Flood Relief

A Survivor-Led, Person-to-Person Response

Nepal is facing a severe humanitarian crisis following widespread flooding that has devastated communities, displaced families, destroyed infrastructure, and left many people dead or missing.

Reports from communities on the ground indicate that the full scale of the disaster is still emerging. As communication is restored in affected areas, additional families are reporting loved ones unaccounted for. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the disaster has received limited international attention.

For Empowerment Collective, this crisis is deeply personal. Communities and families within our own network have been directly affected, including families who have lost loved ones or are still waiting for news of those who remain missing.

Our Approach

Empowerment Collective responds through a circular survivor leadership model grounded in local knowledge, lived experience, and person-to-person assistance.

Rather than relying exclusively on centralized aid structures, our approach works directly with individuals, families, and households to identify specific needs and deliver support accordingly.

Our survivor leaders particularly women with deep knowledge of vulnerable and underserved communities bring practical understanding of local culture, social structures, language, geography, and informal community networks. Their leadership helps ensure that aid is both culturally appropriate and responsive to the realities families face.

Direct and Individualized Aid

Funds raised through this campaign will support personalized assistance for affected families and households.

Depending on individual circumstances, assistance may include food, medicine, clothing, essential household items, livelihood recovery, and support for families who have lost loved ones. Read more in link below or link in bio.

Our hearts are with Nepal during this devastating time. 🇳🇵🙏

We are deeply saddened by the sudden flooding in Rasuwa, near the Nepal–China border, which has caused widespread destruction to homes, roads, bridges, businesses, and communities. The disaster, reportedly connected to a glacial lake outburst, has tragically taken lives and left many families facing unimaginable uncertainty.

This tragedy is also deeply personal for our Empowerment Collective family. One of our team members has been unable to make contact with her husband following the disaster. We are holding her, her husband, and their family close in our hearts.

We ask our global community to please keep them—and all those who are missing, grieving, displaced, or affected—in your prayers. 🙏

Our deepest condolences are with every family who has lost a loved one. We also call upon individuals, organizations, and authorities to support ongoing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts. Every helping hand matters.

May those who are missing be found safely, and may Nepal’s affected communities receive the strength, protection, and support they urgently need.
