Lakeview's neighborhood family friendly march, Memorial & Labor Day at 11:00 am. All are welcome! Everybody marches, nobody watches! Joseph's Hospital.
WOOGMS stands for Wellington Oakdale Old Glory Marching Society, a group formed 50 years ago by late Chicago PR executive Al Weisman. We march every Memorial Day and Labor Day. Everybody Marches, Nobody Watches! At 11am every Memorial Day and Labor Day we meet at the corner of Pine Grove and Wellington in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago's north side. Join your friends and neighbors as we celebrate our freedom and remember those who have served our great nation. Led by the beats of the Jesse White Drum Corps, march down Wellington, Barry, Sheridan and Diversey before finishing on the lawn of St. Once there enjoy the high-flying spectacle of the Jesse White Tumbling Team.

Labor Day was a blast! The tumblers were amazing and the community was extraordinary. Thank you all for coming we hope to see you back for Memorial Day on Monday, May 31st at 11:00am. 🇺🇸

Happy Labor Day, Chicago! 🇺🇸 Today is the annual WOOGMS Labor Day Parade!
📍 Where: Corner of Wellington Ave & Pine Grove Ave (Lakeview)
⏰ When: Kicking off TODAY at 11:00 AM
🚲 Who: Everyone! Bring the kids, decorated bikes, scooters, strollers, and pets on leashes.
Lace up your sneakers and come march through the neighborhood! 🥁🎺

Tomorrow is the day! A do-it-yourself neighborhood tradition since the 1960s, WOOGMS turns spectators into the parade itself. Decorate your bike, bring your dog, and walk the route through Lakeview with the whole community.

We are exactly 2 weeks away from Chicago’s favorite neighborhood tradition—the annual WOOGMS Parade! Mark your calendars for Monday, September 7th (Labor Day).
