Seeing Lorde close out the second day of Hinterland in the pouring rain was one of the most human-feeling experiences I’ve had recently.

Every detail of this production seemed like it was designed to remind us that no matter how complicated, and interlaced with technology our lives become, true beauty comes from nature, and the messiness of being a human navigating a world feels which feels increasingly hostile to those of us who simply want to create art for no reason other than the joy of the process.

These photos were taken while freezing cold, soaking wet, and smiling ear to ear :)

Day 1 of Hinterland coverage is up on Top Shelf :)

Was such a blast shooting such an awesome, independent festival. Met so many awesome people and took some photos I’m really proud of!
