Today’s Family Fun & Resource Day at Terminal Park has been canceled due to the weather.

We look forward to seeing our community at the rescheduled event! 💛

We’re so grateful for another beautiful day of bringing seniors in our community together over a warm meal, conversation, and smiles.

A heartfelt thank you to A Thousand Tales Bakery & Cafe for providing the delicious warm meals and yummy tres leches cake, and to Embrace Relief for their wonderful partnership and for providing our senior guests with a lovely bag of goodies. Thank you to Embrace Relief and Humans at Help Volunteers for staying vigilant and attentive to our guests’ needs throughout the entire time. Your generosity means so much to us! 💛

We’ll be back with another warm meal distribution for seniors on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 12–2 PM at Humans at Help Foundation, 4652 Oakton st. Skokie, IL 60076

Our seniors are an important part of our community, and we want them to feel seen, valued, welcomed, and included. Come share a meal with us and celebrate life together!

The food served will be Zabiha halal and guests are welcome to stay and enjoy their meal with us, or, if they prefer, they can take their meal home to enjoy later.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month 🩵💜

Su***de is a serious public health issue that affects individuals, families, and entire communities. In 2024, 48,824 people in the United States died by su***de, and millions more experienced serious thoughts of su***de or made plans or attempts. (CDC)

These numbers remind us why knowing how to recognize warning signs and respond with compassion matters. Sometimes, one conversation can be the beginning of someone getting the help they need.

This September, we are offering a FREE QPR Su***de Prevention Training to our community.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) teaches everyday people how to recognize warning signs, have a conversation, offer hope, and connect someone with help. You don’t have to be a mental health professional to make a difference.
