Disney II is OUR public school, and for the first time, we are one school in two buildings. We are 665 students giving their all each and every day. We are a team of exceptional teachers who continually inspire our students in the classroom. We are an administration who has launched the first ever non-selective enrollment academic center and high school in the city. We are a community of dedicated families who work tirelessly to ensure that our school has the resources it needs to be great. Disney II stands apart from other schools because every child does well here. We don’t accept an achievement gap; every student matters. At Disney II, students have a stake in their community. At Disney II, our students benefit from a core curriculum as well as art, music, technology, PE and foreign language. Disney II is an exceptional school, and we want to keep it that way. Disney II Needs You
Illinois is currently ranked 50th in state funding for education. This year the Chicago Public Schools cut $68 million in classroom spending, and Disney II lost approximately 20% of our funding. In a survey last spring, our families voted to keep our class sizes small; yet smaller class size means less money from CPS. It’s basic math… the fewer students we accept the less money we get to fund our school. In order to maintain our level of excellence and keep the academic programs, curriculum, and enrichment classes that make our school great, we need YOU, the Disney II community, to close the financial gap. Your Support Matters
Last year, well over half of all Disney II families donated to the school, and many more donated their time or connected the school to important resources. This year, as we kick off our fundraising efforts with our Annual Fund, we are once again asking every Disney II family to donate $450 per student to help us close the funding gap. A donation of any amount is needed and appreciated! A gift of any size has a tremendous impact! Your participation matters, and every single dollar makes a difference. Thank you!

🚨 TODAY IS THE LAST DAY 🚨
Friday, September 25 is it. After tonight, we can no longer guarantee your child counts toward prizes or the 2026 Fun/Color Run tee. 👕
We're one week from race day and approaching our goal of $60,000 for athletics 🏃, arts 🎨, and technology 💻 at both Disney II campuses. Today is when we close the gap. 💪
Here's the whole ask:
👉 Give $30+ on 99 Pledges
👉 Add your child's t-shirt size to their page
That's it. That locks in their prizes. 🏆
Donate after today and your gift still counts toward the raffles, just not the prizes. So if prizes and that shirt matter to your family, tonight is the night. ⏰
One community, one commitment. Donate today. Then come cheer our students on October 2! 🎉🌈🔗 Donate: 99 Pledges (link in bio)

Don't forget that this Friday (9/25) is the final day for online fundraising to qualify for prizes!
Students who raise $30 or more receive this year's Disney II Fun Run t-shirt!
We are fortunate to have the talented Harebrained!(a member of our parent community) design our t-shirts for a third consecutive year! Check out the original sketch and the final design sneak peek!

🏃♀️ We're just 10 days away from the 5th Annual Fun/Color Run! Fri., Oct. 2 at Kedvale. Music, dancing, color, and our whole Disney II community together. Help us get to the finish line:
🎽 Give $30 or more to score the exclusive 2026 Fun/Color Run t-shirt
🏆 Donate by Fri., Sept. 25 to lock in prize eligibility for your student
💚 Donations stay open through race day, so there's still time to give, it just won't count towards prizes.
