Breaking up is hard to do, especially with ni****ne.

We're proud to amplify Chicago Department of Public Health's Me & Nic Broke Up campaign and this new episode of Healthy Chicago Podcast. Youth va**ng remains one of the biggest threats to lung health in Chicago, and conversations like this one, are exactly how we start changing the culture around ni****ne use.

Give it a listen and learn more at MeAndNicBrokeUp.com. 🫁💨

“Me & Nic Broke Up” is a CDPH campaign that encourages Chicago youth to break away from their toxic relationships with ni****ne and instead to focus on their personal well-being. On a new episode of Healthy Chicago Podcast, we collaborate with From The ‘Go Show and True Star Foundation to encourage a candid discussion around awareness and support for those most impacted by va**ng.

Listen at https://chi.gov/4yDr78K

Co-hosts Gary Langfield Jr. and Iesha Brown talk with CDPH spokesperson Juan Ortega and Gen Z creator of the viral “Scuba” dance, Desean “Scuba” Logan-Russell, about why it’s important to discuss vape-free living, the negative effects of smoking, the predatory marketing of ni****ne companies, and resources available to those who want to “break up with with nic.”

Chicago's air quality alert just got more serious. Wildfire smoke drifting in from Canada and Minnesota is adding fine particulate matter on top of already high ozone levels today.

RHA's own Brian Urbaszewski spoke with CBS Chicago about it, explaining that these smoke particles are small enough to reach deep into your lungs and even enter your bloodstream.

If you're in a sensitive group (kids, older adults, or anyone with asthma or another lung condition) it's a good day to limit time outdoors. If you experience new symptoms like coughing or shortness of breath, follow your medical professional's advice.
