🔥 BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT VARIATIONS - PART 3
This time, we're using the cable machine.
Unlike free weights, cable resistance keeps constant tension on the working leg through the entire range of motion, not just at the hardest point. That constant pull is what makes you slow down and actually control each rep instead of rushing through it.
💡 Try this variation if you want to find out where you're cutting corners in your split squat form.
Missed Part 1 (TRX) or Part 2 (Smith Machine)? Check the posts in my feed.
Have you tried Bulgarian Split Squats on a cable machine before? Comment below: YES or NO! ⬇️
What movement do you want me to break down next? Drop it in the comments.

One of my favorite ways to release tension through the shoulders and upper back:
Lying face down, one arm reaching out with a light band, a tennis ball just out of reach to keep you extended.
It targets the same areas as the wall release I showed in my mobility routine, from a different angle, with a bit more control over the stretch.
Save this for shoulder tension relief. Do 30-45 seconds before your next upper body day and tell me how you feel.

Think squats are bad for your knees? Think again. 🦵🔥
Meet the Spanish Squat: a simple squat variation that can be a great way to train your quads and build tolerance around the knee.
Here’s the setup 👇
- Loop a strong strap or band behind your knees/calves and anchor it securely behind you.
- Keep your shins relatively vertical as you sit back into the squat.
- Sink into a comfortable range, then drive through your feet to stand tall.
So what makes it different?
The strap provides support that lets you sit back while maintaining a more upright shin position. This changes the way the load is distributed and can allow you to challenge your quads without needing as much balance or ankle mobility. 💪
Spanish squats are often used in rehab and strength programs for people managing knee pain or patellar tendon issues, but they’re not a magic fix. The right exercise, range of motion, and load will depend on the individual.
If regular squats bother your knees, try changing the exercise, not abandoning squats altogether.
Your knees are built to move. They just need the right dose of load. 🦵✨
Save this for your next leg day & give the Spanish

Pull-ups are more than an arm exercise.
To get more out of every rep, focus on pulling your elbows down toward your sides, keeping your chest lifted, and staying controlled through the movement. This helps your back do more of the work and makes each rep stronger.
Train smarter at CFX.
