Last night— this week- was life changing! Such an incredible honor to personally witness Vice President Harris officially accept the nomination for the office of President of the United States of America. When we fight…we win! ❤️🤍💙💕💚

My 13th year as a member of the Board of Trustees for Winthrop University began yesterday welcoming over 1,200 new and transfer eagles to the nest.

Convocation is a time to not only welcome the newest members of our learning community, but to also reflect on and honor our timeless traditions.

My most favorite aspect is the recommitment to the Winthrop University Dedication of Excellence- one that I continue to live by:

The pursuit of intellectual, cultural, personal, and social growth. Affirming academic integrity, freedoms of speech, personal responsibility, global and cultural diversity, consideration of others, social responsibility, civic engagement, and environmental responsibility.

I didn’t know places in my heart existed until I birthed these two beautiful little girls into the world.

Grateful to God for entrusting me to guide them to their purpose, assist in unlocking their full potential, and to navigate this life with passion.

Working each day to become the best version of myself- so I can be the best mom for them. Thankful for the journey.

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, grandmothers, ancestors, and mother figures for all they’ve poured into me, sacrificed for me, and taught me.

We’re officially in the 2nd Quarter!! Are you on track to achieve your goals? Are you seeing progress in 2024?

It’s not too late to set your intentions to make this year the most rewarding, impactful, and powerful year of your life!

A few questions I ask my clients and the attendees of my conference workshops and training sessions are:

-What is your big picture or why?
-Where do you want to be in life in three to five years?
-What are you doing today to achieve that desired outcome?
-What are your strengths and areas of growth?
-What impact do you want to have in your life?
-What are your immediate goals? Short term goals (2-5 years)? Long term goals (7-15 years)?

These questions continue to guide me and I hope you find them beneficial for you too.

A few action items that I do on a regular basis to stay in alignment with my goals:

-Revisit my why.
-Write down in details and frequently review my plans.
-Strategize for success.
-Connect with accountability partners.
-Position myself to be a learner and a servant leader in all that I do.

So proud of our star who shined bright tonight!! 🤩

Ariah auditioned for the first time to participate in her first school play. She landed one of the star roles in the cast for the production.

She displayed on stage what we, as her family, have witnessed first hand for years— natural talent, wit, expressiveness, humor, all paired with impeccable timing.

She said she always wanted to be on stage, and tonight, everyone could see exactly why. When I say she did an amazing job, that’s a complete understatement. So many parents sought get afterwards to complement her on her performance.

She’s wanted to pursue this for a few years but I wanted to make sure it was something she wanted to do. It’s been confirmed and we will continue to nurture her passion and interests.

We look forward to supporting her in many roles, plays, and productions to come. Tonight— a star was born to the world! 🌟

Grateful for all of the many flowers that have bloomed in my personal journey. Family, friends, loved ones, colleagues, clients, neighbors, team members, and sisters—I’m thankful for each you and the ways you nurture me in life.
