Imagine being an archaeologist in the year 3025 and pulling this thing out of the Mediterranean.
In late 2025, a Seattle-based artist and YouTuber who goes by the name Sunday Nobody did something that only makes sense if you spend too much time online. He commissioned a three-meter-tall bronze statue that merged the hyper-chiseled face of Handsome Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants with the pose of the ancient Greek Discobolus, a famous sculpture from the fifth century BC that was lost to history. Then he shipped it to Greece and sank it in the Mediterranean Sea.
The project cost him around twenty-five thousand dollars. He had two full-size statues cast in China, along with hundreds of miniature versions. The larger-than-life bronze weighed about five hundred pounds. He and a small crew hauled it to the Halkidiki Peninsula, floated it offshore on inflatable rafts and an air mattress, and cut the lines. The statue dropped about nine meters to the seafloor and, by sheer luck, landed upright.
His stated reason was simple and absurd. He wanted to confuse future archaeologists. In his documentary about the project, he said he wanted to create something that could outlast us all without hurting the ocean. He even consulted a university archaeologist to make sure bronze would survive saltwater for a thousand years and checked with an ocean sciences professor to confirm it would not damage the marine environment.
The internet immediately pointed out the obvious flaw in his plan. We now document everything. One commenter wrote that nothing will confuse archaeologists of the future because we are literally in the most well-documented era of humankind. Another added that even if the internet vanished, people already know what kind of stupid things other people are capable of.
Sunday Nobody is not a stranger to this kind of high-effort absurdity. He has buried a massive Flamin Hot Cheetos sarcophagus, programmed a machine to hand-write the entire Shrek script, and built a giant Bee Movie maze. His guiding philosophy is simple. When people ask why, he asks why not. He does not expect to actually fool scientists. He just wants to make people laugh and think about what parts of our culture will endure.
He sold the duplicate statue and the miniatures, and every piece sold. The footage of the sinking went viral, racking up millions of views. Some people called it trolling. He calls it fun. Either way, there is now a bronze Handsome Squidward sitting at the bottom of the Aegean Sea, waiting for someone to find it and wonder what on earth was wrong with us.

Poland uses drones to spot chained dogs using thermal cameras and help rescue them from neglect 🐕🚁
Authorities in Poland are increasingly using drones to identify cases where dogs are kept chained in conditions that may violate animal welfare laws. Equipped with thermal imaging and high-zoom cameras, these drones can detect body heat and observe living conditions, even at night or in remote areas.
Officials say the technology allows inspectors to assess whether dogs have enough space to move, as regulations require a minimum area and proper living standards. When potential violations are recorded, the footage can support further inspection and enforcement actions by local authorities.
The use of drones reflects a broader shift toward proactive monitoring in animal protection. Supporters say it helps prevent neglect before it escalates, while also encouraging owners to improve conditions. The approach highlights how technology is being used to strengthen enforcement of animal welfare rules.

Animals are getting closer to us because we’ve left them nowhere else to go 🌍🐾
Researchers estimate that nearly all of Earth’s land has been reshaped by towns, farms, and roads. As forests fall and wetlands shrink, wild spaces disappear. Animals do not vanish with them. They adapt. They move closer, searching for the food, water, and safety that once lived in their habitats.
When a bear steps into a backyard or a coyote walks down a quiet street, it is not mischief. It is survival. Fruit trees, open bins, and gardens become lifelines for creatures running out of options. Deer in lawns, raccoons by dumpsters, foxes in parking lots… they are trying to live in a world that has grown too small.
Sharing space with wildlife is not always simple, but it is essential. Every species plays a role in keeping the planet balanced. Living responsibly means protecting green areas, securing waste, planting native trees, and letting wild animals stay wild. Earth was never meant for us alone. It is a shared home, and every creature deserves room to exist.

Then I plant it in front of my house for future reference when my kids asks me about the missing tooth, but I don't know how to explain this to them😂🤣🤣
😳🌱 A Dentist Removed a Decayed Tooth — Then Discovered a Tiny Guava Plant Growing From It!
In 2013, a 36-year-old man in Taiwan went to the dentist to have a badly decayed wisdom tooth removed.
But when the tooth came out, the dentist noticed something unbelievable — a tiny guava sprout was growing from it! 🦷🌱
The strange case was later reported in the British Dental Journal, which estimated the sprout was around 10 days old.
Exactly how the guava seed ended up there and began growing was never fully documented. But the bizarre discovery was real.
Imagine going to the dentist because of a rotten tooth… and finding out you’ve been growing a guava plant in your mouth! 😳😂🌱
