She was found extremely emaciated in the middle of nowhere and had her 9 pups days later. if you are interested in filling out an application for Adoption please text or call Lorri Zeigler at (530) 932-0045

It's been over a week and i honestly just can't find the words to describe how deeply we feel the loss of our sweet boy Red...One of the best lesson horses to ever live has went over the rainbow bridge. If you have any pictures or stories to share please do! please eat some cheez-its in his honor this week. We miss you so much sweet boy! Thank you for your many years of service and love.

We’re asking for help — and every little bit truly counts. ❤️

For the first time, we are facing a serious financial struggle here at Jan’s Rails to Trails Rescue Sanctuary.

We currently care for 55+ horses, many of them seniors who require ongoing feed, supplements, veterinary care, farrier care, and extra attention. The costs add up quickly, and summer is always especially difficult because the heat limits how many hours we can work each day.

We are picking back up, but right now we desperately need help getting through this difficult stretch.

If you can donate, any amount helps. $10, $25, $50 — whatever you can spare can make a difference for a horse in our care. ❤️

We are a nonprofit and can provide tax receipts for donations. We can also accept donated items that can be sold to raise funds, and provide documentation for those donations as applicable.

This momma dog was rescued in the middle of nowhere. She was skin and bones and just days from giving birth to her 9 puppies!! Momma and 4 pups are still looking for homes. If you are interested in filling out an adoption application please call or text Lorri Zeigler @ (530) 932-0045.
Adoption fee of $100. Dna test should be back soon but they look to be lab/ cattle dog mix.

Hopefully this is our last heat spell! No afternoon group lessons today or tomorrow due to extreme heat 🥵

Another day of triple digit heat. No afternoon lessons.. stay cool everyone.

The forecast shows 100+ degrees today. There will be no afternoon group lesson class. With most of our lesson horses being seinors it's not safe. Senior horses are especially vulnerable to heat stress, so riding them when temperatures are 100°F+ can become dangerous very quickly. Thank you for your understanding

Trail ride today with a bunch of horse crazy kids. ..we Love morning lessons in the summer!!
