Something sharp this way comes…
We’ve been cooking up something special with legendary swordsmith Tony Swatton for YEAR OF THE DEVIL.
Ancient weapons. Devilish details. And a few surprises we’re not ready to reveal just yet.
The YEAR OF THE DEVIL BackerKit campaign launches September 29.
Follow the campaign now, sign up, and be there from Day One to unlock the surprises we have waiting.
The Devil is in the details… and this one has an edge.
What happens when Danny Trejo walks into a legendary sword maker’s workshop?
We took Year of the Devil to Tony Swatton’s famous Sword and the Stone shop for a little hands-on research.
Co-creator Keith Arem joined master swordsmith Tony Swatton, David C. Hernandez, Tristen Ivan Crisol, Isaac Singleton Jr. and the legendary Danny Trejo to get up close with some serious history.
Tony showed us a hand-built macuahuitl, an authentic conquistador rapier… and then we started talking about what Diego should carry next.
Let’s just say an Aztec-inspired machete may be coming to Year of the Devil.
And if Danny gets his hands on it… watch out.
The weapons are becoming real. The world is getting bigger. And we’re just getting started.

Excited to be heading to WonderCon for an upcoming panel on storytelling across mediums.
We’ll be joining an incredible group of writers, directors, actors, and creators as we explore how characters evolve across film, animation, games, comics, and emerging platforms. Each format asks something different of a story, but the goal is always the same: find the emotional foundation of a character and tell their journey in the medium where it resonates most.
Looking forward to a great conversation and hope to see you there.
