Saturday Sounds at Rhodes!
Our Scholars gave up part of their Saturday to spend time learning, growing, and making music with Mrs. Sweet, Principal Flautist of the Riverside Orchestra!
What a special opportunity to learn from a professional musician, gain new skills, and experience the beauty of music beyond the school day.
We are so proud of our Scholars for showing up, leaning in, and continuing to learn—even on a Saturday!

Who says learning targets have to be boring? Our first grade Scholars are showing us that knowing what you’re learning—and having fun while doing it—can go hand in hand!
From movement to teamwork and plenty of smiles, our Scholars are making their learning visible and meaningful in Mrs. Hansen’s class.
🍎🍏 Apple STEM Day! 🍏🍎
Our Kindergarten Scholars took learning to the next level during a fun-filled day of hands-on STEM exploration! From apple maze walks and apple sailboats to building apple trees and tasting different varieties, our Scholars were busy creating, testing, problem-solving, comparing, and discovering all day long.
Through each activity, our Scholars practiced skills in science, engineering, mathematics, language, movement, and creativity—all while having a whole lot of fun!
We love seeing our youngest Scholars learn through curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on experiences!

Family Fun Night was a hit!
Our Scholars and families had a fantastic time at Chuck E. Cheese! 🧀🎮🍕 A huge THANK YOU to our Rhodes PEP Club for putting together such a fun night for our school community!
And to all of our amazing families who came out to support our school and our Scholars—we appreciate you!

Coffee & Conversations with Dean Reger
Our first Coffee & Conversations session created space for meaningful, vulnerable conversations and a growing community of support.
We talked about Technology & Social Media — including screen time, online safety, and the influence social media had on our children and families.
This was one of three sessions with Dean Reger, designed to bring our community together, ask honest questions, share experiences, and support one another.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, opened up, and helped make these conversations meaningful. Together, we were building a stronger, more connected Rhodes community.
Celebrating Constitution Day at Rhodes!
On Thursday, September 17th, our Scholars honored the birthday of the U.S. Constitution by learning about the rights, freedoms, and responsibilities that help shape our nation. ❤️🤍💙

Our 1st Annual University Tailgate was a celebration of school spirit, community, and connection!
From our amazing Professors proudly showcasing their universities to families coming together, making memories, and enjoying a whole lot of fun, this event was one for the books!

Our Chess Masters Extra Enrichment is helping Scholars across ALL grade levels build their chess skills while strengthening some serious brain power! 🧠

What a wonderful English Learner Parent Meeting at Rhodes!
Dean Reger and the CVUSD Family Engagement Center teamed up to create a meaningful space for our families to connect, ask questions, share ideas, and feel supported.
From great conversations to fun giveaways and so much more, it was a morning all about strengthening our Rhodes community!
