Showers and storms are on the move NOW with flash flood warnings in effect for Highland and Adams County.

A flash flood warning is in effect for Highland County until 7 a.m. 2-5" of rain has fallen in the area overnight. The NWS is describing this as life-threatening flash flooding. Stay out of low lying areas and get to higher ground.

Law enforcement and local EMA reported significant flooding occurring near the Highland County Fairgrounds, with rushing water on SR-73. Additionally, multiple water rescues are being reported out of Pike County.

A hot and humid day before storm chances come in this evening. While it's not a guaranteed chance for everyone.. it's at least a chance.
