We’re excited to officially welcome Austin Hodges to the Community Matters team!

Austin joined us this summer as our Neighborhood Development Lead, helping guide our work in affordable housing, small business development, community spaces, and other long-term investments in Lower Price Hill.

This is an important moment for Community Matters. As we prepare to release our new strategic plan, we are expanding our role in shaping community-centered vibrant.

Austin brings experience from Redeveloping Rural Regions in Bowling Green and the City of Cincinnati’s Department of Community and Economic Development, where he previously served as Lower Price Hill’s Neighborhood Development Officer.

After 10 years of service on the Community Matters Board of Directors, Jim Daffin of Realize Wealth Management has wrapped up his board tenure.

Over the past decade, Jim has offered steady leadership and thoughtful financial guidance to the work happening in Lower Price Hill. Board service is often quiet work, but it matters.

We are grateful for the time, care, and expertise Jim has shared with Community Matters over the past 10 years. Please join us in thanking him for a decade of service.

We’re hiring a part-time Front Desk Receptionist to help welcome neighbors and guests to Community Matters.

This role is often the first friendly face people see when they walk through our doors. The Front Desk Receptionist helps connect neighbors to the right person or program, supports food pantry intake, manages the community snack bar, and helps keep our lobby welcoming and organized.

This is a great role for someone who values relationships, brings a strengths-based approach to their work, and wants to help create a caring, supportive community space.

The position is 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Pay is $17–$19/hour.

We spent this toasty evening with Nehemiah Manufacturing at their annual Make a Difference Golf Outing. Dozens of their generous vendors, partners, and team members sponsor the event, which raises funds to support several Price Hill area nonprofits.

Thank you to Nehemiah Manufacturing and everyone who makes this outing possible. Your generosity helps support organizations working alongside neighbors across Price Hill, and we’re grateful to be included in such a meaningful event!

Congratulations to Matt Strange, vice chair of our board of directors, on being named chief administrative officer of The Christ Hospital Health Network.

Matt will continue serving as chief enterprise risk officer while taking on this expanded leadership role. We are grateful for the leadership, insight, and commitment he brings to Community Matters and excited to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
