Promoting Your Research

Your research doesn’t stop making an impact when it is published. This workshop will introduce graduate students to tools and strategies for promoting research projects before and after publication. Publishing Lifecycle and Open Access: Kicking in the Rotting Door

Thursday, November 19, 4-5 pm, Online

Scholarship is a conversation, but traditional publishing models can place research behind paywalls, limiting access and engagement beyond the academy. This workshop will introduce graduate students to the open access movement, including the benefits of making research more accessible, the connection between open access and authors’ rights and options for opening their own work.
