Yesterday, eight MND student leaders joined students from 12 other Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky high schools at the Magnified Giving Youth Leadership & Service Conference! Throughout the day, our students explored the impact of nonprofit organizations, strengthened their leadership skills and discovered new ways to put service into action. A special shoutout to Paige Hesse '28, who participated in the Philanthropy in Action service project! Paige advocated for 1N5, a local nonprofit supporting mental health awareness and education. Her efforts paid off when fellow participants selected 1N5 to receive a $250 grant, which Paige had the honor of presenting to a representative from the organization! We are proud of these young women for using their voices, developing their leadership skills and living out MND's mission to learn, live, lead and serve! 💙

Celebrating another great MND Spark Session! Our very own Mrs. Christine Minix ’05 from the Religion Department inspired our faculty by sharing her MND Admissions story which she used to "spark" our commitment to welcoming students into the MND sisterhood. Rooted in the spirit of St. Julie Billiart, her message was a powerful reminder that we are all called to be the face of God in our MND community. Through every interaction, every welcome and every act of kindness, we have the opportunity to radiate God's goodness!

The future is calling! Students had the chance to connect with over 40 colleges and universities at today's College Fair, where they explored new opportunities, asked questions, and continued planning for what comes next.
Thank you to all the college representatives who came out to connect with our Cougars!

Congratulations to Elizabeth Cundall '28 and Lilly Tepe '29 who recently participated in the National Cribs for Kids Conference in Pittsburgh, where they shared their voices and leadership in support of infant safe sleep.
As members of the Charlie’s Kids Youth Advisory Council, Elizabeth and Lilly are helping advance the organization’s mission to prevent infant deaths through safe sleep education and advocacy. They presented to an audience of over 300 doctors, healthcare professionals, community advocates, and hospital leaders. Following their presentation, attendees lined up to engage with them, praised their work, and invited them to take part in other speaking engagements. They also assisted the Charlie’s Kids team with a workshop designed to turn safe sleep education into lasting behavior change.
We are proud of their leadership, advocacy and service to this cause and thank them for being such wonderful representatives of MND - both in our hallways and on the national stage.

Last week, MND was thrilled to welcome Dr. Grace Scharf ’17 as our first Billiart Speaker of the year! The Billiart Scholar Program is Mount Notre Dame’s premier academic program, challenging our brightest students through rigorous academics and experiential learning opportunities designed to develop their talents, leadership and curiosity. Billiart Scholars also receive a monetary scholarship and opportunities to learn directly from accomplished professionals and alumnae like Grace.
After MND, Grace attended the University of Dayton, earning a degree in Pre-Medicine with minors in psychology and medical ethics. She continued her education at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where she earned the Webster-Gustin merit scholarship, volunteered with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and St. Joe’s, and conducted cystic fibrosis research. After graduating from medical school in 2025, Grace began her residency in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she continues to pursue work in medical education and patient advocacy.
