📍AIKEN ASST. PRINCIPAL - Steven Barton accused of sexual battery, grooming after student reported him. Detectives say he'd been grooming 16yo since last year. Set for court at 8am.
📍IDOL CONTESTANT MURDER TRIAL - Caleb Flynn charged in staging his wife's murder in Tipp City near Dayton will begin trial today. Told dispatchers he was in another room when wife was shot and an intruder was responsible. Karin Johnson-Reporter will be there for trial.
📍CVG DISASTER DRILL - First responders will simulate passenger jet vs cargo jet collision on runway to practice emergency response. If you're flying in/out of CVG today you may see smoke, large response on the airfield. Required every 3 years by FAA.
📍MCCONNELL VOTES - Longtime KY Sen cast votes on at least two bills in his return to the Senate, first public hearing him speak publicly was only an "Aye" to cast a deciding vote to move the long-stalled Farm Bill out of committee.
📍MEASLES EXPOSURE - Cincinnati Children's Hospital advises public about possible measles exposures in the ER on Monday 5:40pm-7:48pm and 11:15PM Monday until 1:15am Tuesday. Both out of state patients and contact tracing has started. No active cases in Cincinnati.
🐝SPOTTED LANTERN FLIES - Becoming more prevalent around Greater Cincinnati as females begin to lay eggs. If you see them, dispose of them as they are an invasive species.

📍BEVIN OUT OF JAIL - Former KY Gov. Matt Bevin released from jail after arrest on contempt charge after failing to turn over financial documents in child support case. Appeals court says he proved he wasn't given a chance to fight contempt charge, but order did not excuse him from ignoring judge orders.
📍OHIO AG ON FLOCK - Attorney General Andy Wilson says he supports use of Flock cameras by police departments, but also asks Ohio lawmakers to criminalize misuse of the technology in what he says in the rare incidents that it happens.

14) St. Jude's Children's Hospital - I visited this hospital in Memphis, TN and saw the real work they do to save kids who are going through unimaginable sickness. Powerful trip that sticks with me today.

17) Festival International de Louisiane - The Largest international music fest in the US! The streets of downtown Lafayette, LA shutdown for 4 days for all the music you could desire, from all over the world! This pin is from the 2013 festival when I was working in Lafayette at KATC from 2012-2016.

📍CLERMONT CORRECTIONS OFFICER ARREST - Body camera video shows 35 yo Matthew Mullenix entering an inmates cell, remove a towel from the inmates neck. Then throw him to the bed and ground where the inmates hits his head on a metal desk. Mullenix now charged with 2 counts of felonious assault.
📍CINCINNATI FLOODING - City Council will vote on motion to report on what did and did not work during July flooding and study storm water runoff with mitigation options like rain gardens & permeable pavement
📍OHIO REPORT CARDS - State releases grades for public school districts across the state. Our largest district, CPS, goes from 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5.
📍WILLIAM EVANS-ELLIS - Suspects in murder of 7-year-old found fit to stand trial . Kirby Rankin & Nessa Keaney requested competency exams. Both along with Kaitlin Evans charged with murder & child endangerment.
📍INTEREST RATES - FED meeting today to discuss and potentially raise interest rates amid price and inflation battle.
IRAN VS US - House passes measure to limit President Trump's war powers and withdraw troops for 3rd time. Seven republicans joined democrats, unclear if Senate will take up the resolution.
