KA-BAR is living proof that being cute can, in fact, get you out of trouble. 🐾

It’s a lot of work being the “Boss Mare”. Sadie doesn’t currently need a drink of water, but she DOES need to stand guard and make sure NO ONE else can have a drink of water 🤦‍♀️.

Persavero had quite the resume. An own son of Bully Bullion, “Peso” hit the track and earned an AQHA register of merit for his Speed Index early in his life. He later became a barrel horse, a roping horse, a ranch horse, and then a Police Horse. Peso was owned by his former owner Jordan for most of his life, they were buddies! We were honored that Jordan entrusted us with Peso in 2022.
Peso served with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit until his final ride in 2023.
“Uncle Peso” was great to our babies in his retirement years! As sweet as he was, he still made sure to keep the young stud in line.
Rest easy, big guy. You will be missed 💙

This situation went from panic to overwhelming gratitude 🚨🙏

We checked our security cameras, and were horrified to see the horses had gotten out and were in our front yard!

We weren’t home so we called our captain, Coy Jenkins. Not only did he agree to help without hesitation, but he also called dispatch and let them know that some Mounted Patrol horses were out. Deputies rapid-fire responded and before we knew it, our cameras picked up multiple units coming down our driveway! It was less than 15 minutes from the time the initial call to Coy was DIALED to the time the first unit made it down our driveway. They got all the horses put back up, and we hear it was even a bit comical! Most of those who responded are not “horse people”.

For those who don’t know, this is not the kind of response that loose livestock calls normally get.

We have always been proud to be a part of the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, but this was really powerful. These horses are CLEET-certified commissioned Deputies, and their team acknowledged that and showed up for them. Not just because the human Deputy Imhofs needed help, but because the equine Deputy Imhofs did as well.

Every horse on our team is owned and funded by their human partners, so this response was not fueled by any sort of financial loss or “inventory” requirement.

That is just honestly so cool.

We had a little horse spa day today. Recoil is getting huge! (And shedding) 🖤

This weekend, we walked out to the pasture to check on a fawn who had been left unattended for two days. When we got to her, we noticed her face was covered in ticks. One eye was almost completely swollen shut from the infestation and she was very lethargic. We called Wild Heart Ranch and they were more than happy to take the sweet girl. Turns out, they are only 10 minutes away from us! We scooped her up and took her right over. Their place is amazing! It feels more like a wildlife wonderland than a “facility”. Go give them a follow!
